Should they do an "Incredible Hulk" on Daredevil?

Deus ex machina :down

I always took him being able to do that as his second wind. He got a huge adrenaline rush after seeing the woman he loved die, and got back up. Besides, he did have a Sai through his shoulder, with his heightend senses, it would probably take him a little bit to recover from that.

The amount of blood he lost should have knocked him unconscious.
Yes, I know it's a comic book movie and disbelief should be suspended, but when you have a scene in a movie in which the hero gets so beaten up in a bar brawl that he has to munch on painkillers you are lead to believe that the movie is going to strive to be realistic. Yet, in the same movie, there are impossible jumps, wire-fu feats, and that one inexplicable instance of Deus ex machina. It was confusing

He might've stopped on the way to Kingpin's place to patch himself up. We have no idea how long that trip took.

But really, it's a pretty old movie device seen frequently in the '70s and '80s - "the healing power of vengeance." If you get pissed enough, it doesn't matter that your heart is currently in the gutter next to you and your brains are leaking out of your ears, you can still get up and asskick the guy who made you mad before you fall into unconsciousness.

I agree totally.

Sure, there were a lot of crazy flips, jumps, etc...probably things even a regular guy like DD can do despite the heightened senses, but didn't they mention his strength was heightened a bit too? When Matt was describing his abilities (flashback to a young Matt sliding down a building skateboard style).

In any event, I think rising above the pain the defeat the evil villian is a major plot point in superhero movies; or in protagonist movies in general.

If they do a remake/restart of Daredevil, I'd like it to be a direct adaptation of Frank Miller and John Romita Jr.'s "Man Without Fear." It's the perfect Daredevil: Year One story, which thus makes it the perfect way to introduce the character. With the actors, I'm not sure. I'd actually keep Micheal Clark Duncan as The Kingpin, because I think he did a really good job. For Matt Murdock, I'm not sure. Maybe Ron Eldard:

And DD couldn't get hyped up watching Elektra losing the fight against Bullseye? Or at least join in to give Bullseye two targets and not one? No, he runs away like a little b, but then somehow snatches two victories from the jaws of certain defeat. It might've worked in the 80's, but I wanted something a bit more nuanced. DD has heightened senses, but I don't think he has a healing factor.
