Er.....

let me get this straight.

The movie is too serious to be made into a game...but the actual, real conflict isn't?:confused:

Just go to google, type in Spielberg and Medal Of Honour. Hell he is making his OWN WW2 videogame, which you may have heard if you follow gaming news (which I doubt you do).

PWNED.

I would bet money you haven't played any world war 2 game if you think they are arcade blasters with no respect for the history behind it.

Like I say, no clue about the games industry. Go into the games forum and ask about world war 2 games.

Im 19, ive played my fair share of WWII games, I personally own most of the Medal of Honor games and Call of Duty, Call of Duty 2 and the Wolfenstein games. So your assumption that I havent is idiotic and makes you look like an ass. I have nothing against World War II games but when Spielberg makes a movie like Saving Private Ryan its supposed to be a serious, dramatic film, thats why you will never, ever see a game with that title on it. Its the reason Spielberg has worked on other WWII games. 300 I believe, should be a serious, dramatic film and a video game based on it cheapens that effect. You dont see games being made directly based on movies like Troy or Gladiator, but you do get games that use the same concept. Thats the point im trying to make to you, through all your idiotic insults.

By the way, when you yourself say youve PWNED someone, it makes you look dumb. Rule of thumb, you cant call a PWNED moment yourself, someone else has to, otherwise you sound like a dumbass.:up:

I agree with it being innapproriate to have a game based on Saving Private Ryan. That movie according to my uncle who fought on WW2 was dead on accurate especially the morder sounds he stated that those where actual sounds morders make when launched. Also the battle senses where known to invoke flash backs in Veterans who were watching the movie.

Anyways back to the Battle of Thermopylae game. I don't think that gamers would find fighting that battle fun since it would be impossible to win that battle. (King Leonidas and his men understood that battle was a suicide mission) The only way a game would work is if it was like Rome Total War or the PC game Spartan (That I own and play). The appall of killing legions of Persians would only last for so long because the Player would know he was going to die no matter what and I don't know about you but I hate losing video games!:mad:

I was going to point out that there is a game of 300 but it's named Rome Total War, but then I saw the previous post...

well, the fact of the matter is, they have made it into a videogame already. but not for the 360 or ps3. Why not?
