Never thought of that. I forgot there was a beard (pictures opening of X4)

Man wakes up, & says "damn this crap needs to go". He uses his Psychic Power & tada we see Xavier. Then he teleports him & that hot Chick to the Mansion with that hot Chick taking Jeans place

I like Wolverine, however I've played the video game and have a few figures. Enough is enough, I'm not going to pay to see a Wolverine movie we all know where he is coming from.
I like Wolverine too, and I like Hugh Jackman, but I don't know why they'd make a spin-off movie of the character when we've just had an X-Men trilogy which pretty much focussed on him more than anyone else!

Avi bring Cyclops back too. That hairy dude in the hospital bed is Stewart with a beard that was a nice touch.
Damn right they should bring Cyclops back! And was that really Stewart in the hospital bed?

If they bring back Scott, then his whole death in The Last Stand is just superficial. It carries no meaning.

They shouldn't have killed him in the first place.

I read it about 5-10 minutes ago that it was Patrick Stewart in the bed looking all sasquatch like. He also got it wrong in the interview the guy didn't have cancer he was born without higher brain functions. A vegetable basicly. I would absolutely go see X4 if it ever came about, no more randomly killing off good characters.

Just watch.

When Wolverine makes a measly 30 million opening weekend and Magneto even less. We'll be seeing an X4. Of course that probably won't be until 2012. Good news is James and Halle and the rest of the cast will still be able to play the parts and will be closer to their comic counterparts' ages!

BRING BACK CYCLOPS !

Wolvie has had his fifteen minutes of fame with the comics and PS2 games. I was into Wolverine as a kid but now I'm into Cyclops, maybe its the oakleys. lol

Wolverine and Magneto will be such bombs. I'm not very excited about them.

Yeah, those are some sweet Oakleys :D

Seriously though, ever since I first liked the X-Men when I was a young kid, Cyclops was always my favourite, over every character, including Wolverine. The fact is, he still is my favourite, and I turn 20 next month, and to see him brushed aside and ignored in these movies seriously p**ses me off.

No more prequels either, it only worked for Star Wars because they had planned ahead of time when they came up with the original story to go back before the Empire later on. Alot fo these movie execs seem to think pulling prequels out of their asses works and find out it doesn't. Enterprise would have worked had Paramount stuck to history. Instead Braga and company cut corners like it was free. Just an example why prequels don't work. Like I said I don't want to see a prequel, I don't think any of the rest of us do either.

i dont get qhy anyone would support a single character spin off from x-men. the stories are about a GROUP of characters! thats why the whole concept is appealing to me.
sure wolverine had his own series for the longest while, but we've seen how spin offs do, and they turn out lame.
i dont see any reason for any character spin offs, i wouldnt mind so much, a wolverine movie thats a prequel somewhere down the line, but i dont want it in place of an X4.
nor do i want 'the leftovers' movie about the younger group.

we have 3 films to look forward to

1=Wolverine-may take place after X-Men the Last Stand despite word of
being a prequel. There have been rumors of Anna Paquin being In it as his
sidekick, and Wolverine could face Sabretooth,Deathstrike, and Juggernaut.

2=Magneto-Showing us Magneto In the holocurst,meeting Xavier,and
what lead to them going their seperate ways. Ian Mckellan may appear In
framing sequences set In the present,or a sequence at the end Close to the
present.

3=Young X-Men film-Featuring Angel,Kitty Pryde,Iceman,Colussus possibly Rogue,Jubille, and maybe even Gambit. Beast would be the teacher with Storm
now as the school headmaster.

If Wolvernine, and the Young X-Men do well there will be sequels. it Is likely
Hugh Jackman will only do Wolverine In Wolverine and any sequels. The Young X-men Is more or less X4.

Wolverine is a cash cow. He is easily one of the top 4 or 5 comic book superheros in the world. His characters warrants a solo movie. In fact, I used to think they'd do a Wolverine movie before an X-Men movie, mostly because budgets and stuff. As much as I love the X-Men movies and would like to see another, I will be happy to see Wolverine.

I will bet right now that Wolverine, which will have a much smaller budget than any of the X-films, will make more than Daredevil, Hulk, or any of the Blade movies.

exactly. I never really liked just one X-Men i liked how they were an team and worked together that was what was appealing to me.

I don't think Fox needs Avi Arad to make X4 quite frankly. Fox holds the rights to all movies based on X-Men. Now of course, Arad will play some kind of role in the development in an X4, but there are probably some things going into play at Fox and Marvel hasn't been alerted. Why? Well the dictator and writers put in ways for there to be an X4 with the intention and knowledge of an X4. Also let's look at Vinnie Jones' and Kelsey Grammer's contracts which both have said were for X3, X4 (last for Grammer per his contract), and X5 which were [number of films] deal like some other actors as these were explicit of what films they would be in.

I say it's too early to jump the gun for them to announce anything on an X4 sequel. After all, look how long it took to make Fantastic Four, and X-Men 3.... Even with FF-2, It wasn't like they made a sequel annoucement the very next date after the weekend gross numbers hit. I say we have until it leaves theatres, or later to find out if X4 is a go. :)

Trailer,

For me, they got it right with the first two. The Last Stand feels like a rushed film. And it's no wonder, considering the production history.

At least with the Wolverine spinoff, David Benioff has been writing the script for almost a year, by himself. That's proper development. That's proper planning.

what did they get right in the first two that they didn't in the last stand?

far as i can tell wolveirne and sabretooth have no history in 1 and that was one or part of wolverine back story is that he and sabretooth used to work together and where under the same weapon x program, and then they became longtime enemies

I can also tell that Cyclops uses his power as a weapon less then 3 times in the whole trilogy, and the coolest thing he does, is because toad takes his visor off and he blows a hole through grand central station

Storm is not the least bit african, Rouge is this scared annoying child, Wolverine is about 1/10 the fighter he is in the comics in 1 and 2 (mysitque would not last a frame in the comics against wolverine, far less be able to spar with him for 5 minutes) and since when in the comics did he lose 15 years of memory or whatever

they killed senetor kelly, and henry gyrich within the first 30 minutes or so of the franchise, and i seem to remeber both being intrical parts of the sentinals, senator kelly is supposed to become the president at some point to, and be vocally for the mutant cause, but now he can't because he is dead...

and this lauded storytelling everyone is talking about from X1, the plot is basically if magneto gets his way 4-500 world ambassadors will become mutants, their bodies will reject it, and they will die....do you know what the world would do if that happened? they would elect new ambassadors, and move on, and probobly have negitve reactions towards mutants...awesome, i almost wish magneto got away with it so we could have seen some sentinals or something in that lackluster action

It's fair to think X3 didn't get it right, but if they didn't then nether of the two movies proir to it came close, because X3 is the most Xmen of all three

i agree with the production part of your statement though, if they want say a 2009 memorial day release, lets start production this fall or something , and start shooting like winter 2007, so they have like a year of post production to

So I've been an avid stalker of these boards for awhile now and finally decided to jump in!

I was visiting a local site taht is all about movies and celebrities and this was posted!

"Fox Confirms X-Men 4"

Despite the stupid title "X-Men: The Last Stand", Fox Head Tom Rothman has all but confirmed that there will indeed be an X-Men 4, and probably more after that as well. Now it's all well and good for him to say that now... but if X-Men 3 is a bomb (which we all know it won't be... even if it sucks) then those words will be quickly eaten.

So It looks like there may be an X4 if Fox has already confirmed it!

There better be an X4, because there are still hundreds of characters and storylines to tell, it would just be wrong to stop now!!!:o :down
If by addressing hundreds of character, is the same as to throw a bunch of mutants around, like tin X3.
And, if by hundreds of storylines, is the same way as they dealt with the Dark Phoenix, well, i´l glad they ended it.

That article was from January and it is false... but I want to believe it so badly.

Welcome to the Hype!

I think a Wolverine movie could be okay, and do reasonably well at the box office. However, I teach at a grade 9-12 boarding school and, as a reward for good grades, I took a group of my students to see the movie over the weekend. They were all asking me if there was going to be another X-Men movie. I said that I wasn't sure, but that Fox is planning to make a Wolverine movie next. It was met with resounding . . . indifference. None of them hated the idea, but every one of them (all 12) would prefer another X-Men movie, as would I. I think Fox should really gauge public opinion.

And I really want to see more of Eric Dane as Multiple Man. Anybody else love his delivery on both of his lines?

I saw Eric Dane way back when on Charmed and he was a pretty good actor.

i liked Multiple Man alot and wished there was more of him, and Iceman where the two characters i wish there where more of (i.e. Ice Slides, and Shards)
