Got this from BOF, but Amazon has the Absolute Batman: Long Halloween (Absolute Batman) (Hardcover) advertised with an Introduction by Chris Nolan.

I think it's pretty obvious what Nolan's using for inspiration for BB and TDK.....

He's already said this in interviews so this comes as no surprise. It's a cool extra for people who have yet to purchase it.
TLH = extremely overrated

I have been waiting for ABTLH long time, thanks.

agreed. I hope Nolan wont draw the Joker from TLH:whatever:

Why not? I mean he looked kinda silly, but in terms of writing he was spot on. I loved him stealing the airplane, and talking to Bats on it. Or are you just a homophone and dont want Joker asking Batman for a kiss?

I LOVE The Long Halloween's Joker. Great writing by Mr. Loeb, he wrote a very mean-spirited Joker.

Big fan of TLH. Hopefully the introduction will be copypasted to the boards or something since I really can't afford the Absolute Edition.

And yeah, neat that Nolan is writing the introduction.

I may have to sell my blood and semen to save up for this book.

I love TLH :(

TLH is one of the best runs on batman we've had since 86. Can't say the same for the last few years though.

What's a homophone? A person who wants everyone to have the exact same phone?

Rest easy, Norm. You get it for (roughly) £22 English pounds.

I can get it for £35 English pounds. Let the good times roll........

Oh, and for the record Long Halloween is not overrated. It's one of the best Batman mystery stories and is the best definition of the Harvey Dent character.

It's ok, but with all the parts taken directly from "The Godfather" and turning the Calander Man into Hannibal Lector I don't see why this is considered one of the best Batman stories of all time.

Now I just got to convert that into American dollars :(

All stories are inspirational, I don’t see the point of it been overrated.

Typical fanboy nitpickism. TLH was just as inspired by Godfather as Year One was inspired by Serpico or DKR was inspired by cyberpunk fiction - read Howard Chaykin´s American Flagg and you´ll see where a lot of things in DKR came from, like the TV news hosts and stuff. Calendar Men wasn´t "turned" into Hannibal Lecter, the similarities are vague at best.

These are not great reasons to call it overrated.

You guys are right, TLH isn't the best story. Its awesome don't get me wrong, I even like it better than "Year One" and "DKR", but the best Loeb/ Sale bat tale is "The Dark Victory". And anyone who dissagrees with me, I'll lock them in the caves beneath my house and make them wear short green shorts and matching footies, with a yellow cape.

I LOVE ABSOLUTE DC EDITIONS!!!!

I have a few including absolute kingdom come and hey are awesome

(something about hardcover comic books that make me go nuts)

I guess it's safe to say where the two face inspiration is coming from :)

TLH = Hush > Dark Victory
