The Dark Knight Nolan=Miller

The Batman I love is a rich guy who puts on a suit and fights crime. I like all interpretations of batman and his rogue gallery though some more then others. Some I can't stand like The Batman but I do like it that its just another version of Batman

I really dislike The Batman...

Batman's gotta be a little bit crazy. If he wasn't portrayed that way, it's cuz the writer maybe hadn't realized that yet. You gotta be crazy to use the death of your parents to go out at night hunting criminals. That's why I love him!

If he wasn't portrayed that way then - guess - he wasn't. He is a fictonal character. He acts like the author wants it. There is nothing to "realize".

He is a simple character. Parents dead -> fights crime. A child fantasy. He is about as crazy as spider-man or superman.

TDKR and Y1 are hardly stories about a Batman that's just crazy...

No, Y1 Batman is not crazy he is just young and a beginner. I think Denny O'Neill stopped Frank Miller a little bit - for the better.
In DKR he is a little bit crazy, but it's more rage. He broke his oath he made to his parents so he went a little bit over the edge. That was it. The regular Batman should be stable, focused and sane.
