Nostalgia vs Quality (The Lizard's 10K thread)

Is your continued enjoyment of the pop-culture from your youth mostly legit?

  • Yes, I can still objectively see the quality of the loves of my youth

  • No, I realize I was in a different mindset back then

  • I'm nine years old and this doesn't apply to me, you old fart

any advice for me, then? :) :O

Say "I love you" several times a day and mean it. Also, learn to appreciate romantic period piece films --we've seen the Keira Knightly version of Pride and Prejudice about 4 times now, and I must admit it's quite good.

I'm lucky enough to be married to a woman ten years younger than me, yet she likes most of the same music I liked in my younger days. It also works because she's ten years more mature than her years and I'm socially ******ed by about ten years.

My nostalgic thoughts on the Transformers:

The cartoon wasn't really that great in retrospect, but the toys upon which it was based were very well-designed and still look great today, so I'll give the upcoming Transformers movie the benefit of the doubt, since Trans-fans can be any age.

That being said, the final design for movie Starscream had better not look like this lame ******icon:
