Not complaining, but just curious - why no Star Trek sub-forum on SHH ?

You have Star Wars...but no Star Trek ? I just figured most ppl here are just as much into Star Trek as much as other franchises. You have Transformers, but no Star Trek.

Ah. That makes sense. Shame, I got into Star Trek after 2013, I'm a new fan and love the franchise. I think more and more younger ppl are getting into it from the JJ films / Discovery.

I am proud to say I was one of those pushing for a Star Trek forum, but when it actually started, it petered off so quickly, it was embarrassing.

There wasn't enough to sustain it. The movies come out rather infrequently instead of every year like say, Star Wars or the MCU. And there wasn't a TV show at the time to discuss episodes.

Even with Discovery, it's not that interesting to discuss each episode in as much depth.

If there were a new forum, I'd say throw the Orville in there too.

Cuz then you can roll in any relevant non-superhero series under it. Stargate is also getting rebooted, so I'd love to talk about that at this one-stop shop

I think there was one a long time ago in a subforum far, far, away... after Casino Royale, IIRC.

Hellion's right, I believe there was at some point around Quantum of Solace, but it was never that busy.

Franchises that go dormant for a while like Bond and Star Trek really don't need sub forums here if there's only a few threads needed for each one. I don't even think Transformers needs one. People barely posted in it when the new one came out this past year.

With the amount of Star Wars movies we are getting from Disney it makes sense to give them their own sub forum.

Elsewhere, a raging debate is underway about best Trek film, so there is interest in the franchise and series it would appear.
