Now that we've seen it in action what do guys think of the black suit?

Well I HATED it a first and I couldnt beleive that they were that lazy. I was looking forword to the symbiote suit more then Venom. but it looks better in action.

i loved the costume the first time i saw it and i still do, that picture made me so excited the day it came out.

Well the texture of the suit does have that sort of glossy appearance devil's leather had in his movie. And the atmosphere in the photos and his movement along the side of the building looked similar to daredevil's. I watch DD from time to time so that's instantly what I thought of when trying to think of what black costume spidey reminded me of. I know his suit is a sort of maroon color in the movie and not black, but it appears black to me because the film is rather dark throughout. I LOVE IT. Still I would've loved to have seen this suit.

But the movie suit still looks cool, so I'm happy anyway .

i think it's perfect. originally i wished they had gone with that, but you know a lot of times in the preview when he's in motion it actually looks like the original.

I like Spidey's new threads but I still prefer the red & blue suit. Since we are getting Black Spidey & Venom together in one movie, it is all good. With Black Spidey & Venom both being Black I wish they would have made Harry more colorful.

I have to admit, when the first pics of the symbiote suit emerged i was rather dissapointed. but i have to say the design is growing on me ever so slowly, by the time I see the movie I might actually prefer it to the comics version, who knows. I still dont see he trouble on putting the white spider logo on there though I love that logo, im getting a tattoo of it on my arm t:

I like it, but I've liked it ever since seeing it in April. You can't really tell there's webbing on the suit when he's in action.

I like it alot. The only thing i wish they would have done was have the spider on his chest gradually get bigger as its taking over peter. Kinda of another way to show that the symbiote is taking over and would explain why its bigger on Venom.

I would have liked to have seen the classic black suit, but I think the movie suit is great, maybe the original black suit would'nt have translated well on film.

it's ok but what gets me is how they were talking about (if i remeber correctly) on the spidey 2 dvd that the webing on the costume was a pain because of cost or time or something. So why didn't the make life easy and just go with the comic bookm design. Somebody posted a pretty cool photoshop pic of the spidey treaser poster with him in the comic book black suit.Why is all i ask not really dissapointed just curious.

ok let me ask you now a serious question: do you want tha tthey go always teh easie way? do you want that they dont take time and make complex things in the movie?
you know that if they would make everything the easie way that movies would look incredible bad.

yes the webs are very hard to do. but without the webin the suit looks very empty. yes i know that this is all opinion. but it is very empty. when spidey will move very quickly you wont even see the webing. but in close ups it gives the suit something more.

I like it a lot more now than I did when it first came out. I hope on the DVD they have some concept work with the original black suit.

it was a great idea to make the texture reacting on light. it is shiny.it makes teh suit even more interesting.

I hear ya i don't really have a problem with the suit heck i'm glad that the suit is even in the movie in the first place. i was and i still am curious about the choice but you bring up good points.

well with the suit they made something that is hard to do. but with spiderman action tehy still rather use CGI then real people because it is to hard.

imagine seeing his eyes become more evil, the longer he wore it and people first off wouldn't notice but mj would pick up that little detail.

actually that does sound a lot like what happens in superman 3, which superman's suit getting dirtier as the film goes on while his unshaven look and grey hairs also become more apparent.
