as I am curious, who would win in this god vs cosmic battle.

both are at their full power and no holding back.

It is weird saying Odin and mismatch in the same sentence but he is no match for TOAA

The Celestials are disigned to be above everything in the Marvel U except for beings like Galactus and UT!

The answer is really in the name of the competitor

the one above all

Nah TOAA would take this battle. Now Odin in the Destroyer armor, that may be a different story.

Nope, TOAA still wins. The Celestials defeated the Destroyer with literally all of the Asgardians' spirits except Thor's powering it.

Oh, I thought they said that it took all of the Celestials to do it.

I think they attacked more than one Celestial with the Destroyer, but the mother****ers just melted the thing with a wave of their collective hand. It's not like the Destroyer just barely lost to them. It was owned. Hard.

How can they do that to the Destroyer? Are the celestials really that powerful?

In the Eternals/gods/Celestials storyline years ago they made it clear that the Celestials wield power that the gods don't even begin to understand. A thousand years ago Arishem withstood the power of Odin, Zeus, and another major god at the same time with no injury or apparent effort. The Celestials are way above the gods in both power and knowledge.

Pretty much. Although Thor has been shown to affect them a little bit.

I've always thought that Thor's potential power exceeded Odin's anyway. The difference was that Odin learned to tap into his and for the most part Thor didn't.

Well, Odin was powered by all of Asgard according to one origin of the Odinpower, so I'd dispute that.

In the Celestials arc they said that the Odinpower was the result of his inheriting his brothers magic when they were killed by Surtur. Thor has the genes though. Considering that his parents are Odin and Gaea, who is probably more powerful than Odin. Gaea is also a true immortal unlike Odin.

Gaea's definitely more powerful than Odin. She's some kind of incarnation of Earth itself, whereas Odin is just one of Earth's many gods. Regardless, we've never seen anything to indicate that the classic Thor was more powerful than Odin. Odin is portrayed as wildly more powerful than Thor pretty consistently in all things but pure, raw strength. Granted, Thor still wasn't on Odin's level after he inherited the Odinpower. I think that reflects your argument about Thor's potential being greater but his ability to harness it being less. We saw as much in "Ragnarok" when Thor finally goes through the trials Odin did (more or less) and gains the wisdom and knowledge Odin had, resulting in Rune Thor, who's easily the most powerful incarnation of the character ever. Probably the most powerful god character Marvel's ever had, too.
