He's got a point. Meet the Spartans was so horrible I couldn't even watch more than 15 minutes without having to skip ahead in 10-minute intervals every 20 seconds. I think the only other movie that's made me had that kind of reaction was Twilight.

Also, I only support this movie because it's a trial to see what does and doesn't work. If they make a sequel and it's just as horrible, it will be completely unforgiveable.
Honestly, Marsters, Chow, Joon Park, Eriko are great and so far have exceeded my expectations. I can only hope we get that kind of work from the others in round 2. After all, it's not a true victory or loss unless it's 2/3.

okay, I've seen and I've heard enough. Apart from a few gags and some cools scenes here and there. The movie is going to sucked major ass but I can't resist to watch it. It's a shame, I'm going to watch all 3 of the Live Action Dragonball movies, and none of them are epic. 3 movies, all of them fail, hence the conclusion Dragonball show never be translated to live action screeen. No it can't be the next LOTR or Star Wars, faithful or not faithful a movie will just plain suck...period

With this said, I'm signing off, and this time for good, I mean it this time. Kudos to Dorky, you're a smart guy, but your days of pwning me is now over!!!

I've been in these forums from the very beginning, and at that time I had nothing but positive things to say. However, the more I've seen, the more I've been having to make excuses.

The fact is, Fox makes ****** adaptations. That are INSULTS to the fans AND the source material.

At this point I'm debating if I should even go at all. Giving money to Fox really just encourages them to ruin more loved characters.

What I'm trying to say is that, although I recognize what has been done to the original source material, I still can't wait to see this movie. Since I first read the manga and watched all of the episodes, I've waited SO long to see any sort of DB/Z movie made with today's capabilities. I consider myself a "true" fan and can't wait to see this movie.

In other words, even though it looks like a stupid, mindless, yet entertaining action movie, I'm still just grateful that we're getting one, despite what we've seen so far.

I've seen both clips...

Kame Hame Ha: looked great, every single shot was straight from DBZ (It remind me of Vegeta's Galick Gun clashing with the kame hame ha) The bad thing? Very short, it would've been a lot better if there is a real struggle between the waves. Maybe in a future director's cut?

Shenron: Bad acting, but the summoning is a carbon copy of the manga/anime. Too bad Shenron didn't talk at all

Seriously, I just wanna see a ****ing movie. I'm so tired of all this, "insult to the fans" and "raping my childhood" bullcrap. It isn't that serious. Movies period aren't that serious. And this is coming from a film snob. Your beloved series isn't going to die some bloody, horrific death just because this film comes out. It'll always be there for you to fall back on. But the way some of you talk about the film, it's this insanely unrelenting love/hatred. To the point where if you're not violently disrespecting the board members, you're just violently disrespecting the filmmakers. It gets to a point where it stops being funny and starts looking pathetic.

Everyone acts like if you pay for a ticket you're supporting the Four Horseman or something. I mean seriously, it's a measely 4-10 bucks. If this movie is crap, it's nothing for any moviegoer to feel disappointed about. Leave that to the cats that put $100 million into it. But hoping that a film is a failure? Hoping that the filmmakers can't keep making films? I can't understand how anyone could be that callous as to wish an end to someone's livelihood. Fans like that discourage all of us hoping to get into film. If you don't want to see it then fine, but encouraging boycotts or doing it out of sheer spite? There's nothing that any of us as fans can say to justify that.

It's just a movie. Chill the **** out.

Me too man. Its a dream to have this live action. Even if they don't do a direct sequel because this does bad, there is a good chance another studio would reboot the frachise, and maybe start with the Saiyan saga as the general audience has some background. There is much money to be made with a film that does it right.

Just think if they adapted it like Lord of the Rings close in story. I think Fox underestimated and learned their lesson. There are so many fans of Dragonball world wide and the fans have spoken. If they want big money they need to pay attention to the source and do it right.

Even if this movie was made for tv it would still excite me. It looks a bit better than that though honestly guys, its really not that bad.

2 minute final battle..............

Well at least they fleshed out those beloved high school scenes that we all wanted to see.

Oh and the party scene to! Who needs a climactic lengthy final fight when you can have 10-15 minutes of teenage angst instead!
