If Marsters came into the dance as Piccolo and joined in, it would really funny!

This has to become an internet meme:

chatthrust.gif

Goku: "Whats happened to us? We were supposed to make the movies a better place. What happened to the Dragonball dream?"

Fox: "IT CAME TRUE! YOU'RE LOOKING AT IT!"

Damn it, I just can't watch it. Marsters always sounds so optimistic when he talks about DB and we all know the Movie is a total train wreck.

With 50 million it will at least get it's budget back and the some. Then there are the merchandise and DVD sales. As much as we dislike it, they are making money off of this.

FOX seems to be jumping the gun, but it should make more than 45-50mil worldwide in theaters or match that, and that was the budget for the film.

It doesn't look like it will bomb.

So even if the movie bombs we get a sequel?
:o

But yeah the film will probably match the budget. That is if that is the budget. I read an interview yesterday where chatwin said the budget was 120 million:wow:

first 100 million then 45 million then 120 million lol. I bet it's gonna change again.

I know what you mean. His interviews make me hope the movie is good, but I know it sucks. I saw it.

Well, at the very least it sounds like Marsters took his role in the film seriously. He's very underrated actor, and it's a shame he's in a movie that'll most likely be a high-profile flop. I'll still give this movie a chance since I'm honestly not bothered by the changes from the anime, but I'm expecting it to be pretty crappy. Fox rushed this thing and didn't put together an adequate creative team, and as I've grown all to familiar with, Fox + rushing + bad creative team = bad things. If they were really serious about getting DB right, they should have gotten Stephen Chow to direct instead of giving him whatever frivolous producer title they paid him to take, and given him enough time to actually make the film at a comfortable pace. It could have been Chow's western directorial breakthrough film, but instead it will probably end up just being a side note on Fox's annual operational losses report.

Are you seriously a fan? Saiyans are SPACE PIRATES, jesus christ.

Um..not quite

The Saiyans serve more as space brokers by capturing and selling planets for Frieza (or the highest bidder).

"Through unexplained circumstances, the Saiyans joined a new partnership with Frieza, a powerful galactic dictator whose dominion stretched over seventy-nine or more planets. The Saiyans were hired by Frieza to exterminate the populations of other planets, preparing them for sale."

So lets not be so quick to question others Dragonball knowledge either. If they were referred to as "space pirates" in a certain dub is another story.

But their purpose remains that of galactic planet brokers.

is masters talking about the movie or about the f... anime?

obviously nothing of this is in the movie.

so dont get smart on me.
