Don't know about that one chief.
Ok lets look at the stats from last year!
Garnett: 22.4 ppg, 12.80rpg, 4.1apg, 1.7bpg, 1.2 spg
Stoudamire: 20 pgg, 9.6 rpg, 1.0apg, 1.34bpg, .95spg
Hmmm Garnett a better scorer, rebounder, passer, playmakers, and defender!!! This is all without two-time mvp Steve Nash! Imagaine them two together!!! Those numbers will go even higher!!!

If it doesn't disrupt the teams flow, good move Suns.

I feel sorry for Amare if he ends up in the hell hole that is Atlanta. Bad team, and bad uniforms!

Yeah, I heard they were going to meet up later at a bar, & talk about how shi**y they are.

Sounds about right...

WALTHAM, Mass. -- Danny Ainge got off the phone long enough to say he probably wouldn't trade the fifth pick in the NBA draft.
Then he picked it up again.
Amid speculation the Celtics were hoping to add a talented veteran like Kevin Garnett or Shawn Marion -- and a reported desire by Boston star Paul Pierce to leave if they don't -- Ainge was in a busy stretch drive to Thursday night's NBA draft.
He and coach Doc Rivers had just returned from Phoenix, where they were very impressed with three forwards: Corey Brewer and Joakim Noah of Florida and Jeff Green of Georgetown, during a workout Tuesday.

**** that. The real question in the draft is whether Atlanta will pass on Conley at 3. I'm giddy just thinking about it. :hyper:

nah get the most talented player available at 3! Like Horford, Ji, or Wright. Than 11 get a pg like Conley if he's there or Law.

who's good at #19 fellas

sadly i have no optimism about moving up:csad:

Looks like the ATL trade deal is breaking up:
While teams like the Lakers and Suns will continue to pursue Garnett, and the Wolves seem intent on trading him, sources say that it's unlikely a deal goes down by the time of the draft.

The latest drama in the KG saga shows some of the perils of dealing with the Hawks -- arguably the most dysfunctional franchise in the league.

The Hawks ownership group, Atlanta Spirit LLC, is embroiled in a nasty lawsuit with former partner Steve Belkin. Belkin won a lawsuit against Atlanta Spirit LLC last summer and a judge ruled that he could buy out the owners of Atlanta Spirit and gain full ownership of the team. Atlanta Spirit is currently appealing the ruling.

In the meantime, Belkin holds some authority over the team. He can veto any trade or free agent signing that takes the team above the NBA salary cap. Several sources suggested that it was Belkin who vetoed the trade.

Whatever happens this year, we lose:(
yeah in all honesty.. i hope.. we DO end up trading Kobe.. from a BBALL perspective that's horrendous i know.. but from a salary and actul TEAM rebuilding perspective it's better to lick our wounds and move on.. it's obvious we chose the wrong horse.. now we have to live with it.. be MEN about Busses and save face while you can...:csad:

Dammit, I forgot they had two lottery picks. That takes away some of my fun ...unless they pass at on a PG at both spots. :hyper:

That's a pretty crowded frontcourt already with with the Williams boys and the two Joshes, but I'd get Horford at 3; he can play some D. They need a PG ...badly. Conley will likely be gone at 11, but they can grab Crittendon or Law.

Damn, I hope they pass. I want a good laugh. :(

Yeah, I guess if the wrong horse helps you win 3 titles in a row, just think of what the right one would do!

are you reading my posts or just key words....

explanation of my post = SHOULDA KEPT SHAQ

i don't understand yours:huh:

You know what trade I want to see? Anything that will bring the Pacers more white guys. Seriously. Like, they can send us Jermaine O'Neal for Travis Diener, or something. Could that team be any more ****ed-up? They traded two good players with reasonable contracts for two mediocre players with horrendous contracts, all because they didn't want to offend their Aryan fanbase. What the ****?

They're going to take Horford. Billy Knight has a serious hard-on for forwards.
Who needs Chris Paul and Brandon Roy when you can have Marvin Williams and Shelden Williams?:dry:

Billy Knight is a mess. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Hawks take Yi at 3. People are loving Conley; I was initially shocked to see him as the #1 rated PG. Must be his shooting (or lack thereof) that throws me off.

I like Law. Early mock-ups after the Final Four had him available around #20. I did a few cartwheels. Sadly, that **** ain't gonna happen.

Im hoping for Julian Wright, Law, or Young to be there at 14 for the clips! I Wouldnt mind Thaddus Young either.

I know this is offtopic but does it bother anyone that espn has the nba? I remember tnt/tbs along with Nbc had them and it was all good. Now......it just seems like its just......there. They have year round nfl live on every day at 4pm but once this draft is over you won't hear the nba til october 31.

****, if the Hawks pass on Conley, there is no hope for life.
At least you'll be getting a player this year; we're going to draft some Euro dude and let him marinate for a year or two because we don't want to pay him right now.

Fine with me, baseball and football season more than fills the void.
