Detroit is the only team that was, well, good enough for him to stay. Milwaukee and Memphis were the only ones who had room, and they suck.

C'mon, you don't want to see Billups make entry passes to Andrew Bogut for the next five years?

I'd rather see the Spurs 10-peat.

Come over here right now.
Grab your things. You are moving out of this house. NOW. :cmad:
I can't believe I slept with you. :csad: HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME?! :hormones:

wow, is it me or that looks like Dirk stuff? If he continuously makes that move, that is one shot that nobody can stop, type of shots ppl hope that he will just miss.

I think that's the type of move that proves to the doubters that he has a high Offensive IQ.

J, how do you feel about Pat Riley taking Mo Williams out to dinner last night?

Isn't that a question better asked of Mrs. Riley? :o
HIYOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Williams would be an upgrade, but in all likelihood, he's going to run more than the MLE. If that lessens the probability of getting some help in the frontcourt, I think it's wasteful. Miami just needs a PG that can handle the ball, trigger the offense and knock down an open shot. Williams' price tag seems like overkill, especially seeing as how His Wadeness will be running the show and creating in the clutch. The need for a small forward is a more pressing one. Whether they get it done in the offseason or via trade later on, I don't care, but a quality PG isn't going to fix everything.

I think center is their biggest area of need. If 'Zo retires, the Heat will have the Diesel, Michael Doleac, and Earl FREAKING Barron in the middle. Yikes.
The Heat would fare just as well if they signed Steve Blake or Brevin Knight. :o

Godamnit! Paxson Do Something. Please!!! I Am About To Snap!!!

I was in a Larry Bird mood and decided to look up some Youtube videos of one of the greatest basketball players of all time. The first video is a chronicle look at all of the clutch shots/buzzer beaters, which includes some stories from the players and coaches who witnessed them.

Larry: You guys want to win the game?

Carr-:Looks to the other guys:: Yeah, sure.

Larry- Then give me the ball and get out of the way.

is there any word on rudy fernandez? have the blazers signed him... is he going to play this year or next... and is he going to be at summer league?

Darko and the Magic have broken off discussions, ending any chance that he'll return to Orlando.

My take on it is here.

He won't be with them this year.

Channing Frye on what he brings to the Blazers:
I bring everything...a little personality, a little leadership, a little shooting, a little defense. I'm a buffet of goodness.
:woot:

How are your guys' favorite teams doing in summer league?

The Wizards lost today against the Kings 64-75. Nick Young (first rounder this year) seemed to be sharing everybody else's first game jitters, shotting pretty badly. But he is really athletic, has got a good handle and can create separation. Dominic McGuire (second rounder this year) showed a lotta promise and talent. He was really active both offensively and defensively. Oleksiy Pecherov (first rounder last year) has a good shot, but seemed to be parking out on the perimeter. Decent rebounder though.

Also, Juan Carlos Navarro (40th pick in the 2002 draft) is finally going to playing in the NBA next year. Supposedly the best eligible guard not playing the NBA right now. He might not be playing for the Wizards though, cause he's getting shopped along with Etan Thomas and that hideous contract of his to a number of teams (Memphis (he's friends with Pau Gasol), Miami and the Cavs are a few of them).

The Magic are 2-0. J.J. Redick and James Augustine have looked nice, and Marcin Gortat is making a strong case for a roster spot. :word:

Dunno the Pistons record, but I saw that Rodney Stuckey was getting around 25.0 PPG. Not too bad
