J watch espn. I'm not saying it's true but cmon! Be open to it at least. Old guys at the park predicted the way this game would go and thus far its true and they aren't either Celtics or Lakers fans.

Why are people still listening to Sunrise? Why isn't this thread full of Boston LA talk. Instead of this Rigged BS? Seriously. Just ignore him. He ain't worth the time.

Why don't you actually read ESPN news before you open your mouth?

And in the process learn about basketball before you decide to enter a debate. No one really pays attention to Boston/Los Angeles on the forum anyway. I could tell you that this thread was dead for Game 1 and 2, no one was debating or even talking about basketball.

There is no fiction. What I've provided is actual news from ESPN and Yahoo Sports. If you refuse to believe it then that's your choice, but don't think that just because you're a mod you can throw out veiled insults and try to talk down to posters.

*exits the realm of those who are blind to the possibility of a league fixing games*

Another issue I want to point out is the blatant favoritism that they've shown Phil Jackson. Anytime he criticizes/accuses an official of cheating he never gets any kind of fine or punishment.

http://www.usatoday.com/sports/basketball/nba/2006-11-29-jackson-notebook_x.htm?csp=34

A little extra outside of the links:
Jackson was also fined $25,000 in December 2005 for violating the league's anti-tampering rule by saying Toronto Raptors center-forward Chris Bosh would be a good free-agent prize.

He was hit with a $50,000 fine in March 2004 for saying referee Bob Delaney was "prejudiced against Shaq [O'Neal]" after the former Lakers center was ejected for two hard fouls late in an 88-83 loss.
Yeah, the league never says anything to Big Chief Triangle. Teflon Phil is what they call him.
Don't let facts get in the way of fiction. :funny:

Its not about just Sunrise......but if you blindly turn your eyes to FACTS then you are crazy. It's funny how both espn and tnt can say a game will be called a certain way for make up calls for a f-ed up calls from a previous game and yet fans can say conspiracy theories are crazy. As much as I want to believe that the NBA is on the up and up I won't even bet my life on it. Stern may not have nothing to do with it but the refs only. I'm just saying.....be open and not dismiss dude completely. :o

And where was this on the news? The NBA is so quick too point out said coach was fined for criticizing an official, but when Phil does it nothing is said and it's swept under the rug.

And you'd have to be naive to think the league will let ANYONE accuse them of being racist, so what you provided still holds no water J.

I've seen the stories and read the articles. Call me a crazed Baptist, but I like to wait for actual proof, or at least a wall of circumstantial evidence, before claiming that the sky is falling.

Oh, Tim Donaghy said it's rigged. Well that must make it true. It's not like his character has ever been called into question. Come on. Get at me with something solid.

Comedy. Pure comedy. :o

Btw, I believe you were on his list of 'owed apologies'. All of us should get together and send the replies at once; save on postage.

They're still investigating and I'm sure if they find something you'll put on your glasses and say it's still not enough, so it's a no win situation because some people refuse to see the truth. IF it's proven that Donaghy acted alone what he has done has still tainted the league and tainted the game of basketball.

People also said the Earth was flat but Columbus proved them wrong. I'd love to believe the NBA has no rogue refs but Dohague proved them wrong and there's no way he acted alone. But then again, maybe I'm not being blinded by blind faith. :o

Well congrats to Los Angeles. They pulled it out tonight when they could've just phoned it in and gave up because they were down 2-0. While I don't think they can beat Boston three times in a row, it'll be interesting to see what adjustments the Celtics make in order to try and again a victory for the next game.

While I expected them to win this game, I was holding out hope that Boston would probably go up 3-0 tonight. Oh well.

From what I heard the Boston team wasn't shooting well and didn't have spark in their game.

Pierce and KG: 8-35, 19 points.

Lakers barely win. Game 4 thursday.

Whether it's barely or a blow out a win is a win. Lakers played with a sense of urgency and capitalized on Bostons flat offense/defense. In any event Game 4 will be another thriller and I expect a REAL close one.

Kobe has to do something to get his teammates and the crowd fired up for the next three games. Their defense especially has to step it up cause it looked like they were just lazy out there tonight. The fouls all night long were just killer for the Lakers also. I'm gonna make a prediction that Kobe will have 40+ points in game 3.

I was close. 36 points for Bryant.

Why didn't Boston foul there at the end? Kobe was just 11/18 from the line. You have to take a chance. I know you're down by 6, but you still have to try and win the game. It's just a sign of weakness from them and the Lakers now know that. I think the Lakers take game 4 and Boston takes game 5/6 to win the championship.

Another question: Why was Ray Allen guarding Mamba one on one, late, when Boston had cut it to 2 (?).

Can you post the updated score?

Yeah, but do you really want Kobe at the line during crunch time? Yeah, he's missed before but chances of it actually happening are very slim. I think in a clutch situation you'd foul Gasol or Odom honestly.

Honestly though Lakers MIGHT take Game 4, but I think Boston knows they can't take that chance and will most likely come out trying to match their intensity. I give credit where credit is due, Los Angeles came out while under intense pressure and played with a sense of urgency.

Strange game...first half looked the refs were going to hand it to Los Angeles, giving them a huge edge in Foul Calls.

By the fourth quarter, for the first time this series, it seemed like the refs WERE NOT going to decide this game with silly foul calls. I'm honestly surprised they let the teams get that physical at the end.

As bad as Pierce and Garnett shot, once again, Odom and Gasol were 2x as bad. 14 pts combined? Maybe a little more....terrible.

True. They had to at least foul somebody during the final seconds rather than quit. If I was a Boston Celtics fan right now I would be mad as hell for my team giving up.

On a night where KG and Pierce weren't on their A game, I would still be worried if I were a Lakers fan. This game could've gone either way. Lakers fans should be thanking Sasha Vujacic for his heroics in game 3. Made some brilliant shots and played well. It's good for Kobe who knows he has another teammate to pass too when he's double-teamed.

It just now hit me that Sasha dropped 20. I really only remember the dagger 3 at the end.

Mercy, Pierce played like ass in front of the home crowd.

What about how bad Lamar and Pau played?? They cant play that bad again. Can they? :wow:
