See. This is the problem I have with this whole arguement. The best player on the team needs to be the "leadership guy". If he isn't then he isn't the best guy on the team.

Once again. Dirk has proven over, & over again. That when it counts he can't step up. So in my humble opinion he can't be the best player on that team.

Do the Mavs win when he plays well. Yes. Do the Mavs play well when he plays poorly no? What else can possibly be said of the best player on a team? The same thing can be said of Steve Nash. Do the Suns play well when he does, yes. Do they play well when he isn't on the court or plays poorly, no they don't. Nash has won back to back MVPs and doesn't have a ring to show for it, so he must not be playing his best when it counts either. But you never hear an argument against Nash.

Well that is quite a conundrum. Trust a bunch of forum kids, or ESPN. HMMM.:o
They had links like L.A. times! And I remember couple of weeks ago on "ESPN" that Rod Thorn has no intention of trading there big 3!

The thing is I have no doubt Nash will have a ring by the end of his career. Why?

Because when given the opportunity he will step up. Quite frankly he would have had it this year if some guys would have kept there a** on the bench.

Dirk as of this very minute has not proven himself worthy of being a leader, or a high caliber player. I don't give a rats a** how many wins he can give you in the regular season. It don't mean a thing. If you don't get the ring.

Dirk had a chance at the title last year, & choked big time! I am sorry, but I have no respect for poor leader ship. Just being able to put the ball in the round cylinder doesn't make you elite. Making the shots when you need to win makes you elite.

Again just my opinion.

I love how you named mediocre players to prove your point.:whatever:

To answer. No, but I would build my team around Jason Terry, & Josh Howard. I think that they are the 2 best players on that team.

What? You said Dirk was the least talented player on that team. By that logic, you'd rather have guys like Croshere or Mbenga than Nowtizki.

Don't be so hyperbolic next time.

Look I can take criticism, but don't use big words. They hurt my head.:ninja:

I didn't mean that Dirk was the worst player on the team. He is Behind Howard, & Terry as far as Value.

You said he was the least talented and most expendable on the team. Where do you think the Mavs are the last few years without him? I hope you don't say the playoffs. Please don't be that dumb.

I am trying to be patient, & controlled about this, but calling me stupid, dumb, etc... Is really not sitting well with me. I have an opinion. Simple as that. You think my opinion is wrong. That does not make me stupid. It just means that I have a differing opinion.

How about you tell me why they wouldn't make the playoffs with out Dirk. I am not talking about a high seed. I mean the 8th seed. The other players on that team are not bumbling ******s.

They sure play like it when Dirk isn't on his game. I can understand a lot of people not liking Dirk because he won the MVP. Unjust hate, yeah it is, but still its hard to argue against the kind of numbers he put up during the season. And thats what the MVP is awarded to, during the season, not playoffs. Just when people start making off the cuff remarks like Dirk is the most expendable player on the Mavs, not even the best player on his team, least talented player and stuff like that, its hard to look at those people and not think they don't know what they are talking about. Hey I hate Derek Jeter, but would I love for him to play for the White Sox, yes. Just because I don't like a player because of what team he plays on doesn't mean I don't think he is any good. You can't seem to grasp that.

Thats because they rely to much on him. Same thing with Nash. Except Nash is more reliable.

If somebody else on that team realised that Dirk isn't clutch, & would step up. I think that team could be much better. They need to stop turning to Dirk at the end of the game.

Does anyone have any idea of how the top 10 draft will go? Who'll go where? Also, Noah will probably go to the Bulls which mean Isaiah basically traded Curry for Noah. I'll take that trade.

Well relying on him too much led them to 60+ wins. They ran into a team that is built to defeat them.

Not if they use that trade to help get Kevin Garnett or Kobe. I hope they get someone though. No more prospects, this draft won't work for the Bulls now. Their time is now, not a few years down the road. Trade for someone that will help you win NOW.

In 10 years. This season will be remembered for what the Warriors did, & What Dirk didn't do. That is not the mark of a great player.

You are quite the patient one aren't you.:whatever:

Hey I guess if waiting 10 years isn't long enough for you then I'm sure you will be happy, because if Paxson doesn't do anything, its going to be another year. This is what I don't understand about some Bulls fans. With almost every other sport in Chicago, the demand is on the GM and the team to get better year after year, but with the Bulls its like "Oh hey, they tried hard just didn't quite make it, but thats ok." But its not ok. You should be asking for improvement, not waiting around for development. We've been doing that with this team and this is as good as it gets for a lot of the players on the team now. I've already explained all this.

You gotta get someone that demands a double team, someone the other team has to look out for at all times. The Bulls don't have that. They have the team for that guy, but not the star. And the team isn't getting any better. So the window of opportunity is right now. Whats so hard to understand about that?

The Bulls need to make a play right now. Zach Randolph, Jermaine O'Neal, Pau Gasol, and Kevin Garnett figure to be on the trading block, and any of those players would draw a double-team down low. The Bulls are already one of the top teams in the East. With the right presence down low, they could be the best team in the conference.

So by your logic the Pacers should've gotten rid of Reggie Miller then? Because he never won a ring and he produced all the time, but just didn't quite get over the hump.

In 10 years I'm quite sure no one will even remember the fiasco that Dallas created.

I am not really getting your logic. This team is still drastically young. I don't get the right now theme you have. It isn't like these players are vets. If in 3 years Paxson hasn't made huge steps, then I would agree. But these guys are still green.

I am not saying they don't need to make changes. See below quote to see what I want done.

You just had to bring up Reggie didn't you. Of all the players. Now you are going to get me in trouble with some more people.

I would have not given up Reggie for one reason he Made the Pacer's a name, & he brought alot of Economy to Indiana.

I will say it is unfair to use him as an example. He was in a long line of Jordan victims in the 90's. I don't see any Jordan's standing in the way of Dallas.

If in 3 years nothing happens, you are more than likely looking at a rebuilding era. Because if Paxson is counting on these guys to lead this team to the title, then he isn't going to make any major deals. The only young players that I see to improve are Thomas, Deng, and maybe Kirk. I hate to repeat this because I have explained it all before. No one else except those 3 are going to get any better. Duhon isn't going to get any better, I'm sorry. Gordon isn't going to be more than he is now. I feel like a broken record. They have a lot of young guys on the team yes, but only a couple are any good at all. If they continue without that go-to guy for the next year or two, expect another few more years of rebuilding and waiting.

I feel like a broken record as well, so lets just agree to disagree. I mean we both obviously want whats best for the Bulls. We just have different views on it.

Not to mention we aren't the one making the decisions anyway, so there is no need getting worked up over it. We also both agree that there should be some changes done this season, or it will be dissapointing.

I  Reggie Miller.
Believe it or not, the only basketball player of whom I have a photo is Reggie. It's framed. :yay:
However, I've considered adding this one and this one to my collection. :o

New Hawks uniforms were unveiled today:

They look like the ****ing Bobcats. :whatever:
Couldn't they just bring these back?

:down

So is it true that if you put a feather in his nose he can fly?:o
