they already had him on the roster last year and gave up on him. i know he had a great year with tampa bay, but what's wrong with youk and lowell?

Maybe as an alternative in case they can't sign Lowell, moving Youkilis to 3rd and Pena to first? I don't know.

So, unlike my team, I guess I came through in the clutch. Playoffs were great, but the WS blew.

We'll, this offseason looks likes a good one.

word is they wanna sign Lowell AND arod and dump Lugo; as well as signing JOHAN SANTANA....

Red Sox won't go after A-Rod, especially since he announced he'd opt out during the WS. Santana isn't a free agent. If he's traded, it will be to the NL.

that's a good question. i hadn't really thought about it. i guess he could go to the braves, but i'm not sure they'd want to invest the amount of money he'll be asking for in someone who's older than the CF they let walk. maybe the giants.

Wth are you talking about???? I have heard that Lowell is almost a lock to resign, but the only reason Arod is rumored is because the Sox have money.

I said lowell AND arod; and sox ownership have a man crush on arod.

Santana isnt a free agent, they'd have to trade for him which would probably entail giving up Ellsbury and Bucholz in the process.

Kind of; we just need some good back ups and were good to go I think; we dont need any huge stars. Beckett, Dice K, Lester, and Buchholz will all be hear for years to come.

Epstein was asked about Arod after the world series, and basically shot that idea down. Im pretty sure they dont want/need him.

And its 4 years later, and the sox are coming off of 2 World Series wins. They dont "need" him like they did then. That would have put them over the edge, but now what. They cant go any higher.
