The Phillies winning the WS would be the worst thing in the world. I'd rather see the Yankees or Braves win the next 10 World Series than the Phillies winning 1.

2.) Lightning hockey (which is a big deal these days)

Well I didn't expect 2 and 3 to be in the top 3... I'm impressed. I guess it ain't so different than here:

1) Mets/Yanks February to November
2) Jets/Giants November to February
3) How badly the Knicks suck November to April

Not even Rangers Hockey is more than the forth sport until February/March in New York... and that's because the NFL season is over at that point... strange sports times we live in.

The Bucs won the Super Bowl in 2002; three division titles in six years.
The Lightning won the Stanley Cup in 2004.
And now The Rays may be on their way to the World Series this year.

The only other city to have three championships within this decade is Boston.

And Red Sox fans... I am sorry but losing to the Rays in an ALCS is inexcusable. You won two of the past four championships... you are supposed to beat the Rays in this spot... no way the Sox are coming back from 3-1... I think we can put the talkf of the Red Sox of these years matching the Yankees of the late nineties years to rest... it was fun while it lasted.

Florida, as a whole, has had a pretty big decade. Counting what you already mentioned, you also have 2 Gator basketball titles, 1 Hurricane & Gator BCS title, Marlins win the WS in 2003 and the Heat won in 2006. Not a bad streak.

Anyhow, once again...who the HELL is scheduling these games? Come on, man. The Rays & Red Sox can't play tonight because why? The debates? Because they need to broadcast another 2 hours of Family Guy on TBS? They're not switching locations. Why do they need a day off? This is a bit of a buzzkill to the Rays momentum.
