Multiple world series??? This is the epitomy of being a Met fan... just like Jet fans... they seem to think they are entitled to championships every few years or so. Can we at least get there first before we talk about being in the Yankees/Sox class?
Try reading what I wrote. I said the team has a chance to win multiple World Series so long as the front office isn't cheap.

Now back to the problems at hand... the team needs starting pitching... it also needs bullpen help as well... I haven't really looked at the market but it seems every year that the free agents available in the bullpen are all bums... or you strike gold with a guy for a year or two before he turns into a bum. Beside the bullpen though... the team needs a lock down starter... so you deal a Pelfre Milledge combo for a starter of that class... don't get too down if they trade Milledge... the guy will probably amount to nothing... let the kid go if you can bring in an ace.
Scott Linebrink and Francisco Cordero are available. They should go after one of them.

both would help them, but they'd most likely have to pay closer-money for cordero to get him to sign. i don't see him wanting to be a setup guy, though, if he can get as a good a deal somewhere else to close.

It would cost more money to get him to accept a set up role. That's why Linebrink is the better option. He's declining but he's still better than Guillermo Mota.

Barry Bonds indicted on federal charges of obstruction of justice and perjury.

It is new. Breaking news. A lot of people thought nothing would happen or that it would have happened a while ago.

I dont think arod will sign with yankees; excel thinks this is his way in biating other clubs who want him to pay up.

they must've collected and sorted out a very solid case, a smart move when indicting a person who can afford a decent legal defense team. i can't wait to hear the dirt they've got..

Yes! Just saw the news!!! First the Sox win the Wolrd Series. Second, Bonds career is bombing....

I don't think anyone will want to sign him after this.

of course they will. it might effect his price tag, but plenty of teams will want a player who puts up the kind of numbers he does for a one year deal. he already had tons of baggage to begin with, this won't be the nail in the coffin.

U serious dude? It's pretty much a done deal... Yanks lucked out BIG time... now their lineup is set for the next eight years... they still need protection behind him... maybe Melky and Cano will develop into those guys. Or they'll just dish out the big bucks and bring someone else in one of these years.

Arod Signed finally....10 years $275 million!

Phillies offered Mike Lowell 4 Years 48 million

Boston will end up keeping Lowell. They need a 3B and he wants to stay there. Phillies should re-sign Rowand instead since the CF market isn't as thin.
