Ayo Kingfish, did you mention the Shilling metaphor?

Haha, wow. Nice job insulting me there, like that. Classy.

Glad to see Weaver got six games. Avila showed more class there than Weaver has most of his career.

I don't think he was showboating, at least not in any way that appeared flagrant.

Exactly...

Okay Kingfish, if you hit a HR and it was looking to possibly go foul, you're telling me you'd trot the bases instantly. And if it went foul, would you really like to look dumb going back home?

EVEN IN THE MLB THE SHOW GAMES THEY WAIT TO SEE IF IT'S FOUL

God

Hey brah, just sayin'. When I crack those homers in slow-pitch church league I wait to see if it stays fair

D-Backs:cool: I can't believe they beat Cain and Lincecum on back-to-back days.

But seriously, Kingfish. I don't hate you or anything, I'm just frustrated trying to explain why Mags isn't in the wrong... but since you're an Angels fan and I'm a Tigers fan we won't get along.

I read a lot of your posts in here (since I kinda go all over the place in SHH) and very much enjoy what you type out.

in sf, no less. the dbacks are playing impressively right now.

besides sandoval, and maybe beltran now, the sf offense is seriously embarrassing right now. i have faith this team will wake up soon enough.

You don't have to start trotting but move. Don't just stand there and watch the damn ball. And don't egg on the situation with your "I'm old" lines.

You're right. I concede the argument.

Everyone's in the wrong. Except Aybar. Magglio and especially Guillen for egging on the situation, Weaver for head-hunting, and Verlander for being a whiner.

No Weaver is definitely in the wrong here...He crossed the line and started whining over Magglio's HR.

Someone must be going through some drama away from the game. Guillen just rubbed some salt to the wound after Weaver's shenanigans...Which I found to be hilarious, as expected Weaver threw the ball high and got himself tossed.

In the end, the only person who looks bad here is Weaver.

Kingfish just trying to back up his team here. lol

Ever since Pence has been in the lineup, Ryan Howard is 7-18. He's been seeing a ton more fastballs having that protection behind him. Such a great move to get that guy here.

Whiny, ******* fan gets rewarded for being a whiny *******.

If you don't feel like reading, the guy drove 200 miles to go to a Tigers game. It was a Sunday game and no BP, so his kids didn't get to meet any players or try to get autographs. After the game they let kids run the bases, they chose to not wait in the long line and go to a souvenir shop. When they got back, they weren't allowed to run the bases. So he writes a profanity-laden letter to Jim Leyland and a profanity-free one to the assistant GM. Leyland talked to him on the phone and gave him free tickets.

Ugh, I would've said "You're a whiner" and that's it. What a crybaby.

Looks like America's new pastime is entitlement. What a brat :whatever:

Hey, I read that. I also like what he says here.
There was something else about Guillen's amateur hour act and the people who wanted to explain it away that bugged me … they said he was doing it to stand up for a teammate. Fine. But by doing it he had to KNOW that the next batter was going to get plunked. I mean there was never even a second of doubt that Weaver was going to throw at Alex Avila. The umpire knew it, which is why he walked out to warn Weaver and then warned both benches. The fans knew it. The announcers knew it. Everyone knew it. He was absolutely going to throw at Avila. How about what Guillen did for THAT teammate?

But I still think everyone was in the wrong.

Weaver overreacts to what he perceives to be showboating by Mags.

Guillen overreacts and trolls Weaver for his overreacting to Mags

Weaver overreacts to Guillen trolling in response to his initial overreacting.

Then you had the Verlander staring down Aybar, which isn't the first time a pitcher got mad at a hitter for bunting in the late stages of a no-no.
