It lost to...any fight in Captain Marvel? Swing and a miss there...

An anonymous fan edited out shots, scenes and characters in a "defeminized" version circulating now on an illegal streaming site. As well as losing Larson's character, Captain Marvel, the defeminized edit is missing a scene where Hawkeye teaches his daughter to shoot. ("Young women should learn skills to become good wives and mothers and leave the fighting to men," the editor opined in an accompanying document.) The role of Black Panther is minimized. ("He's really not that important.") Spider-Man doesn't get rescued by women characters anymore. ("No need to.") And male characters no longer hug.

Captain Marvel vs. Minn-Erva winning over Cap vs. Thanos has to be one of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen.
Yep. Re-watched it last night, and that fight scene is so...barely a fight...why was it even in competition against Cap V Thanos?! Actually, ANY fight in Captain Marvel being considered for best fight is fairly ludicrous. I liked the movie, but the fight scenes were nothing compared to Endgame.

Avengers: Endgame Officially Getting Re-Released With New Footage (Exclusive)

Perhaps Avengers: Endgame might be able to beat Avatar's massive box office record after all. The film has lost the majority of its momentum by now, almost two months after its initial release, but it's about to get another major boost to ticket sales. No, it's not just because Spider-Man: Far From Home is arriving in theaters in July. Avengers: Endgame is hitting theaters for a second round, along with some additional footage that didn't make it into the official cut in April.

While attending the Spider-Man: Far From Home press junket in London, ComicBook.com's Brandon Davis spoke exclusively with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, who confirmed that Avengers: Endgame was heading back to the big screen for a theatrical re-release. Not only that, but this version of the film will arrive with extra scenes that weren't included in the first theatrical release.

"We are doing that," Feige said of an Endgame re-release with new footage. "I don't know if it's been announced. And I don't know how much... Yeah, we're doing it next weekend."

So Avengers: Endgame is coming back to a big screen near you with new footage, which is an incredibly exciting announcement given the hype around the movie. What's even more exciting is the fact that the film is arriving next weekend, allowing fans to see it again before Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Avengers: Endgame is very close to that number, with a current total of $2.743 billion. It has looked as though the final chapter of the Infinity Saga wouldn't be able to topple Cameron's sci-fi epic, but a re-release with new footage could do the trick.

Be on the lookout for a new version of Avengers: Endgame next week!

Avengers: Endgame Returning to Theaters Next Week With New Post-Credits Scene

Kevin Feige reveals Avengers: Endgame will return to theaters next week with additional post-credit surprises. The latest Marvel Cinematic Universe blockbuster originally premiered in late April, and had one of the most incredible box office runs ever. Debuting with a whopping $1.2 billion worldwide, the film quickly rose up the all-time charts and only recently saw its business slow down. Currently, Endgame is the second highest-grossing movie globally and domestically, with $2.743 billion earned.

Endgame was a legitimate challenger to Avatar's all-time worldwide record of $2.788 billion, but ultimately fell short of passing it due to the competitive summer movie season. Would-be tentpoles like Dark Phoenix and Men in Black: International may have bombed, but they still took away screens and repeat viewings from Endgame. It would appear the only way Endgame could potentially beat Avatar is if it gets a re-release, and that is in the cards.

In an interview with Screen Rant during the Spider-Man: Far From Homejunket, Feige confirmed Endgame will be re-released on June 28. While it isn't an extended cut of the 3-hour epic, it will have extra surprises for people who stick around:

"Not an extended cut, but there will be a version going into theaters with a bit of a marketing push with a few new things at the end of the movie. If you stay and watch the movie, after the credits, there’ll be a deleted scene, a little tribute, and a few surprises. Which will be next weekend."

Developing...

Am I seriously going to have to relive the pain and stress and the three-hour runtime all for a post-credits scene? The things I will do for Marvel...

At least you now know when you can justify a bath room break :o

Yeah, no thanks. I'll just wait until they're all on YouTube.

Plus, I have to imagine the film is still playing in some areas anyway. It's got four screenings at a theater near me just for today, for example. I doubt it would get a wide release that would take away from screens for other films like Toy Story 4.

Cool but... I highly doubt ANY post credit scene would have to be seen on the big screen for me. I'll catch them on YT or on the Blu. I've seen Engame 3 times in theaters. I did my part.

I was hoping to see it for a 6th time before it left theaters, so now I have less pressure to seek it out at a 2nd run theater near me (it leaves my local ones after today). Now I can go to the rerelease!!!

I may buy a ticket and just show up for the last half hour.

I don't even remember they fought. If anything, I remember more that she fought Jude Law.

Yeah a new post credits scene is definitely not enough to make me rewatch this movie. Pass

Not as much as seeing people care about MTV awards. Voting was open to everyone, btw...

I haven't watched the MTV Movie Awards in like 15 years.

Looks like I’ll be seeing it again, I like surprises.
