These kids are everywhere. :lmao:

Guys, don't blame Thread Manager. It's Nolan.

That's the one question I asked him when I met him, Who is Thread Manager?

He said without hesitation,"It is I."

I would have asked him "Are we getting a 3 hour epic???"

I would have asked him "Are we getting a 3 hour epic???"
he would answer

'' an imax movie can not be 3 hours long. it can not be 2:45 minutes long. how many times do we have to reapeat this?''

he would answer

'' an imax movie can not be 3 hours long. it can not be 2:45 minutes long. how many times do we have to reapeat this?''

But TDKR is not full lenght IMAX. Isn't it?

That just goes for the IMAX footage itself. There's no length requirement for 35-70mm footage projected onto an IMAX screen (of which there will be in TDKR). So technically it could be 3 hours so long as at least 20 minutes consisted of non-IMAX film.

Not an expert though; correct me if I'm wrong.

Edit: I'd also like to put forward my view that TDKR should NOT be a three hour long film. So for me, the point is moot regardless. It won't be that long.

an imax movie is a movie that is realesed in an imax theater. no hollywoodmovie ever was full imax and will never be. the technology is not practical for sound,acting,.......

ok guys, dont let him be, let him have it!

But the TDK prologue is IMAX and is AWESOME in sound, acting (Ledger) and image. Of course is more expensive and heavy to move such a camera but on a blockbuster like TDKR they could have tried... :csad:

watch the prologue again. watch where and when they are talking when filmed. look at where they are standing. look at the position. and look at the location(environment). for a 2 hour movie it wouldnt work.

infamous what is the problem?

Last night I had a dream that I was still in New York.. and was ninjaing somewhere in lower manhattan.. and found a way indoors for a INT scene and saw The Joker.

OT:and the wrap party yesterday? what happened? delayed?

That's on Water in the financial district... must be shot of them after taking it off the skyscrapper.

Pretty sure that's not the same Bat, they were building the one on the roof the same time one was parked around that area.

Nolan's way of working with dialogue also makes it impossible. He likes to use the dialogue recorded in camera, and the IMAX camera is LOUD. I've heard some on-set footage from the TDK prologue without the mix, and it sounds like a bank machine counting cash. Flap-flap-flap-flap-flap-flap-flap-flap-flap-flap-flap. It's exactly like that, and the volume just about matches what the boom mic is able to pick up on the actor's voices. It's really f***ing loud.

They managed to salvage Fichtner and Ledger's lines on-set, but absolutely everything else is dubbed. They COULD do that for the quiet dialogue-heavy scenes, but it really wouldn't be worth it.

Is that picture very recent, I'm at the 911 Memorial right now. Maybe I'll stop by.
