Let me chime in here...

We were ALL here on Tuesday morning waiting for the first official pic that we got word was being released. It was supposed to be released on MSN at 12pm EST. Well, 12pm came and nothing happened. Then 1pm happened... By 1:30 a photo made its way online, but it was from DailyBlam. They person who worked at MSN who told me about the release in the first place said that the debut was "scrapped". Meaning, at the last minute Fox pulled the image and decided not to release. So, Mathew Vaughn is not a liar. We were all there. His story pans out. he probably saw the image they were planning to release and had the same reaction WE had on this forum and told them NOT to release it.

Vaughn never said it was a fake image, obviously we know its not. He said HE did not approve of it and that it does not reflect the film. It just seems like SHH and now Latino Review are a little butt hurt that they didn't get to be apart of all the exclusives like AICN, /Film, MSN, MovieFone, IGN, THR, and Hero Complex got.

Kinda wish they used this Magneto helmet in all of the films, it looks so good.

Agreed.

Well said.

Wow.. with all these new photos coming out, this is probably my most anticipated movie of this year! (And god knows I like to support the underdog!)

Those two pics are great, things are really shaping up nicely.

I could care less what the real deal is with the photo. I'll decide what think of the movie when I actually get to see the finished product.

+1

Same here. I've never gotten the blind pessimism some fans can have.
"The picture is photoshopped?!? It's gonna suck!"
I'm guess I'm just an optimist...

Not sure if this has been mentioned but if so sorry. But who is Oliver Platt supposed to be? The Man in Black? who is that supposed to be?

Here's how I'm looking @ the movie: Is it being rushed? ...yeah, but the fact of the matter is, it's going to be how it's going to be and there is nothing that we can really do about it, ya know? I'm going to be supportive of it and wait until I see the final product. The first X-Men movie was really rushed and it didn't turn out that bad at all. Maybe I'm just an optimist, but I would really like to see this movie succeed and I find blatant hate and bashing (without seeing the final product) unneeded.

Just my $0.02

Agreed and so true. I think the real story here is that SHH and Latino Review are apparently very desperate for readers.

The Latino Review post is 100% FALSE. They are shooting pick-ups, which is entirely not unusual for a film of this size and on this schedule. Vaughn is 100% involved and commanding this picture, with all major scenes that require directorial vision being handled by him. Of course there is some 2nd unit shooting, but this is Vaughn's baby and he is not being man-handled.

There is not "someone else" (idiotic that this was even reported) shooting this film. If there were, you'd know it as we all knew about Gavin Hood and Richard Donner's lovely shared-directing.

The fact that people here even give one ounce to that...well, you know, since working in the industry, I have become more and more shocked by the discrepancy between what's reported by so-called reliable sites and what's actually happening.

Like, there is one major complaint about this movie that keeps popping up everywhere about one of the images that is going to make people eat so much crow and feel like dumbasses when they find out why it's that way.

Why doesn't everyone relax, take a chill pill, and have some fun.

Could not have said it better myself :woot:

Is it the size of Magneto's helmet? I can see him making that on the spot after the crash i.e parts of the Blackbird jet or even from a part of a missile ..

I loved how Latino Review implied that they basically have nothing and are re-filming the entire movie in 6 weeks. I mean, really?

Thanks for the insight, as always, Bosef.

My feelings about this production started off neutral and became cautiously optimistic for awhile. These feelings probably won't change again until I see a trailer. Below is an interesting article on the production.

I'm still cautiously optimistic about the film but, I'm totally prepared for it too suck so I'll be fine regardless of the outcome.

That dude is really complaining about a soon-to-be Oscar nominated actress?

You know, I wouldn't be surprised at all...

Halle Berry won an Oscar.

I feel the fans are looking for any reason to tear this film apart because Singer isn't directing. If Singer was directing this and released the same photos everyone would be saying what a genius he is and how he's saving the X-franchise. I really thought people would give Vaughn more of a chance but I guess that's not going to be the case.
