On Channing Tatum
The dude is good looking, let's be reasonable. Except for those ears of his, he's a a perfect male specimen. The reason why I'd accept him for Gambit is the fact that he is kinda hot and as seen in Step Up, the boy can move. He's light on his feet, despite being kinda bulky. So Gambit could look cool while he's kicking ass.
The reason why I don't like Tatum is that yes, the dude can't really act. He does have charisma, but it's a low key, "oh, I'm so pretty and stone-faced" kinda charisma. He's a male model, for crying out loud.

He was only playing himself in Step Up, and when you do an X-men movie you have to totally separate yourself from the character. I don't wanna see a guy playing himself playing Gambit. I want to see a guy BEING Gambit, like Hugh Jackman was Wolverine. I don't see Tatum pulling that off. I don't think it's impossible, just highly unlikely. He needs loads more experience. I wouldn't be totally disapointed with him, but I definetely think we can do better.
