That's Ian Summersomething right? Yeah he looks like he could play Gambit. How tall is he?

Hey why not? Ian Somerhalder is from Louisiana and he's pretty cute. But, I just read his profile on IMDB.com and I found out that he is only 5'9". That is nowhere near tall enough for Gambit. Josh Holloway is 6' 1 1/2, much closer, but he turned down the role of Gambit. So I'm not sure he'd be Gambit. But Channing Tatum would most likely get the role and he's 6' 1." He's your best bet. And he has actually lived on the bayou. And, Hottie, that photo shop is plain scary.

Channing Tatum and Josh Holloway are not my choices for the role, but the one's that the producers and casting directors of the X-Films have seriously considered to play Gambit. I'd love Jared Leto as Gambit. I drooled over him when My So-Called Life was on. I wanted Jordan Cadelano for myself. But I don't know if we can have him as Gambit. If I can't have John Corbett, I'll take Jared Leto. He really does have that dark, mysterious, loner quality. I can see it now, the gorgeous fantasy of Jordan Cadelano as Gambit. You're making meh melt!:heart:

And could you post one of Jared that resembles Gambit? I see him a little young and good guy looking. But don't know how is he right now.

Ian Somerhalder is too short. And with Hugh Jackman, who is 6' 3", playing Wolverine, you're going to need someone about as tall if not taller. I just looked on Imdb.com and found out that Jared Leto is only 5' 9 1/2". Darn, and he had the right look and he was born in Louisiana.

In Gambit's official profile, depending on which one you look at, he is 6'1" or 6' 2". (Anna Paquin is also too short for Rogue, she's only 5' 5", and Rogue is 5' 8".) We need a tall guy who is perfect for the part.

Yup. James Marsden was 1,79 m (sorry guys, european here ) and they cast him despite being shorter than Hugh Jackman. A lot shorter.

Sure they used special angles and never showed them in a frame together but still. Even if Gambit was shorter than Wolverine. There'd be ways around it. Not that it mattered so much. He's a trickster, with a really dangerous power. Gambit has never been about intimidating somebody through sheers size. His main weapons are his agility and his powers, and they don't depend on his size.

Heck, if you look at Ocean's Eleven... it pays for a thief to be real short. We could get Gambit the midget.
