^^ I remember that. Probably my favorite Goblin image. Well, one of them, atleast.

You know, I never understood why Green Goblin wasn't ever really marketed as Spidey's #1 Villian. Venom may be my favorite Vilian, but when it comes to the "Greatest" Villian, it's the Green Goblin hands down, IMO.
I really disagree, but to each his own. Romita Jr.'s Goblin remains one of my favorites along with John Romita Sr.'s, Sal Buscema's, and Steve Ditko's.I gatta say...I'm just not a fan of Romita Jr's Goblin...or art in general. Looks rather...bland, in my opinion.
I think some of his best work on the Goblin is actually very recent in New Ways To Die, though, his 90's work is pretty much on par, IMO. His art seems to evolve over time.John's Goblin can be hit or miss. He nailed it in Revelations but wasnt quite up to par in the one where Norman tries to make Peter his heir.

Curse you Marvel. You stop writing stories in ASM that I have to read but put characters that I need to follow in ASG.

Well, the obvious answer going around by people who odn't read comics is that Venom is th best Villian, which, isn't true. Favorite Villian? Yeah. greatest enemy? No. If those people actually read the comics they would understand this. You don't think he was? I was always under the impression that they were marketing Green Goblin as Spidey's #1 villain. In all the reincarnations of Spidey, the Osborn family is always a major theme. Who, in your opinion, was marketed as Spidey's main foe?
Yeah, I definitely get what you mean by that. Venom is typically marketed as Spidey's archenemy in recent times. Although, I've noticed the rest of Spidey's classic rogues getting some limelight in that respect recently.Well, the obvious answer going around by people who odn't read comics is that Venom is th best Villian, which, isn't true. As for marketing, well, he's been on numerous posters and in lots of video games as the main Villian.
