World Official Goblin Appreciation Thread - Part 1

Who would win in a battle: The Green Goblin or The Hobgoblin?

Very close call, if you ask me, but I'd say The Green Goblin. Roger Stern proved just how deadly as well as cunning the Hobgoblin can be, but in the end, I think the Green Goblin would win.

Norman. We don't know if Roderick's modified formula had the healing factor.

I know, lol. Basically, what I was saying was that even though his healing factor isn't that fast, his "cunning" ways would help him win. Or, as Hobgoblin said, return later.

True, but I don't who has the intelligence edge here.

Norman is a more chaotic Goblin, where Roderick was more cunning.

No but Kingsley doesnt have one at all. At least with Norman, he can return later after being injured.

Speculation on my part, your honor. :oldrazz:

Agreed. Its an important distinction and I like both of them for the difference. You never know how Norman will react to something but Roderick will patiently wait to f up your life.

Remember, the healing factor was entirely a retcon to justify Norman Osborn's return from the (seemingly) dead. It didn't exist when the Hobgoblin was created.

But that doesnt mean that he may not have it. Its an unknown but worth considering.

Yeah, that's a good way of looking at it. In the 80's, Roderick seemed to really wait inside wrehouses, etc unti lthe timing was perfect while Norman whent right after to Peter. Just more reasons why the Goblin history is so great.

That sums it up pretty well.

Anyone else a fan of the way Todd McFarlane drew Green Goblin?

Macfarlane can mke plain looking scenes seem like an action sequence, i really like his goblin design. I hope the movie version will show like that in some way

Me too. I definitely would like to see the fangs.
Here's another creepy picture of Green Goblin:

Mix those two together, and Green Goblin could have a very unsettling appearance.
