Okay, but still... all men, writing for the most iconic female superhero of all time.

Well unless it's someone like Gail Simone (whose very knowledgeable of the character's lore) then I'm not sure that it's essential have a female writer for the sake of filling a gender quota unless they either co wrote with Johns or Simone.

Plus, there's always a chance that Patty Jenkins got to include her own edits to the screenplay.

I really doubt he's talking about filling some kind of gender quota, rather perspective brought to the table.

Snyder helped with the treatment but it was Heinberg and Geoff Johns who did the screenplay

Oh thank God. We all know Johns' depiction of Carol Ferris in his Green Lantern run isn't actually painfully embarrassing.

I love this page (GCS #4)

Fan poster with Rosario Dawson as Selina and Lea Seydóux as Ivy

Montoya is long overdue. Along with Bullock. I like Gotham's Bullock a lot, Donal Logue would've been a good choice for a movie Bullock too. Gotham's Montoya is not good though...

Harley returns to Gotham City to reconnect with her old friend, Ivy and have some girl time after yet another fight with Joker (he's mentioned but not seen). Together, they erupt through the city on a crime spree which eventually puts them in the cross hairs of Carmine Falcone & his criminal enterprise.

Falcone places a bounty on their heads which is picked up by Gotham City criminals such as Firefly & Killer Moth, to name a few. Catwoman, having heard about the bounty, goes to Harley & Ivy to offer her temporary help--she has a history with him that is teased throughout the story.

Commissioner Gordon and Det. Montoya are hot on their trails. Barbara Gordon, a student at Gotham University, decides to don a cowl after being inspired by the recent reemergence of Batman.

Batman has small appearances/flashbacks throughout the story but he only plays a small role--perhaps he's otherwise occupied with a JLA crisis.

I might flip your Haley Bennett/Amanda Seyfried casting (Bennett seems more like the cool temptress and Seyfried the bright, wide-eyed enthusiast for justice to me), other than that, though, pretty great stuff.
I love the idea of imbedding a stealth 'Batgirl Begins' mini-movie within Gotham City Sirens.

Ray Liotta in a DC movie? Sign me up.

This is the best cast I've seen yet

I could do without Killer Moth and Firefly and instead substitute Riddler. Maybe add Talia al Ghul and/or Zatanna too. But otherwise a good list.

If you want Falcone putting out a hit on them go with Deadshot, Lady Shiva or Zsasz.

Deadshot? I guess that would be how Will Smith worms his way into the movie. Hey, don't give WB any ideas.

WB still think he's a draw. He'll be in this.

I like that idea but I'd replace Killer Moth with Deadshot and Firefly with another assassin (Talia, Lady Shiva)

I actually like the idea of seeing Killer Moth in a movie. As someone who started out as a criminal copy of Batman (complete with "lepidopteral lair") I would like to see what they can do with him. My one problem is that they will eschew the original "Killer Moth" and go for the horror movie look of "Charaxes" from "Underworld Unleashed".

Wow. That was imaginative. I couldn't think of what story could be told. The only thing I'm iffy on is how a Batgirl character comes off in this particular DC world. Plus I think I like fewer main characters to give more depth and I'd love just a trio of Catwoman, Ivy, and Harley.
I liked your casting a lot. I'd be pretty excited with that lot.
