How likely do you reckon it is that they already have the rest of the cast in place and they're just waiting til' Comic-con to spill the beans?

It can't be a coincidence that after over a year of speculation, they announce Hal JUST before the event.

This is something that pisses me off. I'm going to Comic-Con, and Warner Bros has a panel on Friday from 10 to 12:30. That's 2 and a half hours, in which time I'd be missing a whole lot of other good panels to attend. Most of the stuff announced for this panel looks pretty boring, I'd only be interested in news about Jonah Hex. HOWEVER, IF there is any news on Green Lantern, it'll be at this panel.

If I go to it, and spend 2 and a half hours there with no Green Lantern news, I'll kick myself.

If I don't go to it, and I miss the unveiling of the Green Lantern cast or something, I'll kick myself.

some panels do lock down the media, some don't....they are broadcasting the Star Wars panel....Ive been last summer and the summer before and I like the fact that they have stuff there JUST for the people that travelled there...and they even ask nicely for people not to record stuff and you always have *******s that still kite stuff and throw it on the internet

I think the suprise will be The Iron Man 2 teaser reel (but everyone's kinda expecting that anyway)

Makes sense. I mean the news will make it out no matter what. I would just love to be able to here about it right when it drops. But I am in no rush. I'm happy with whatever we get.

If there is a surprise from the WB panel, it'll probably be Martin Campbell and Ryan Reynolds walking in, and having a quick Q & A. Or it could be casting news, which is very likely. Other than that, that's about it...

That was a screen test for the Tom character? I think we will see alot of Aussie screen test videos. Obviously alot of them auditioned.

All the other's were lined up in a row and shot. Which is why we haven't been hearing from Sam Worthington recently...

I am happy hal has finally be cast. I like ryan and i think with campbell on board he can pull a good preformance out of him. I seem him do the comedy roles, i seem him do a few dramatic roles so i think he is ok there. Now that hal is finally cast hopefully they will be able to attach other leads/supporting characters soon with qualified folks. Cant wait to see how the rest of the cast shapes up.

Variety reported that Reynolds, Cooper, and Jared Leto all screen tested and were the last three standing.

And THR reported the final three were Reynolds, Cooper and Timberlake. But, I guess they were wrong because the article in Us Magazine(before the Variety piece) mentioned how Timberlake never made it past preliminary testing. Talk about being off. I'd say there is a slight difference between failing to get past preliminary testing and being a finalist.

Yeah, i completely agree. I was never a Worthington supporter.
RR is gonna be great. The force is strong with that one.
