I mean....how the hell did this happen? The Giants weren't even that good this year, and Eli turned the ball over more than anyone else in the league.

But they go to Tampa, beat the best defense in the NFC. Go to Dallas, beat the best offense in the conference. Then go to Green Bay, beat them in arctic-like weather. And then, beat an undefeated New England?

......Really?
Ummm....yep.

we get Santana..then the Superbowl....I feel so good!!!!

I wonder how many people are upset right now. I would like to know if some fans ever got out of hang during the Bowl.

He has accomplished what no one thought he could do this soon against these teams.

Bull.

Luck doesn't win you a Super Bowl. Coaching and leadership does.

Eli has grown up - I give you the newest elite QB in the NFL.

Elite my ass. Maybe the Giants D line, but Eli is no where near elite, Superbowl win or not.

I love this post. The Giants just did the impossible and dashed the dreams of anyone who supported New England.

That's right. I can imagine others will say that, but it was that they came down and did the right decision in a pinch.

I don't know how anyone could say that's luck....you don't beat 4 great teams on luck.....they earned it....

that was one heck of a game....gj Eli

Mannings own the Super Bowl

(guess what my last name is ;))

Everyone in every professional sport is an *******
Bull.

Belicheck left the game BEFORE it was over. It was his duty - his job - to have enough class to ****ing watch the end of the game.

It was disgusting, unprofessional and incredibly juvenile.

Once again Belicheck proves he is a complete scumbag of a human being.

He is every bit a failure as a human as he is a winner as a coach.

OK, the last 5 people to vote, are dofusses......way to vote once they've won. *big eye roll*

Eli has matured, but he's not the newest elite QB in the NFL. He really had nothing to lose since Peyton already won one and he needed to prove himself after his primadonna attitude with San Diego.

But I will say this though. I am happy for Eli because I honestly feel as though he was probably a lot more mature, more hungrier, and a bit more humble than Peyton. I'm not sure if that really makes sense, but he just seemed a bit more realistic and down to earth. Granted he has acted like a cocky arrogant prick, but he just seems like a throwback to the old school football players that we know and respect.

Just to play Devil's Advocate, does something that happened years ago really qualify as a second strike?

Tyree should've been MVP. His stats weren't amazing...but he made it happen when it counted.

I think Goddell is taking it like Bill lied to him. I believe it was reported that Bellichek told the commish he didn' ttape any playoff games. Also he said he turn over all tapes, if another one comes out, then....

Damn ELLIS HOBS! :cmad: :cmad: :cmad:

He let plax WIDE OPEN!
Hobbs simply isn't that good. When Philip Rivers called him the worst corner in the league last year, there was some truth mixed into that hyperbole. Samuel is far better of a player. There's no way he shouldn't have been on Burress that close to the end zone, regardless if Plexiglass only had one catch to that point.

The only thing I hate worse that bad winners, is bad losers.....lol Come on guys, the Giants won, they played the better game, and they did what most said they wouldn't. They deserve props for that.

Eli couldn't of played better than he did the last few games. That was when it mattered.

He has a Super Bowl trophy. He has a Super Bowl MVP's car. He has the biggest, most exciting, most important play since Dallas Clark's "The Catch" with that amazing pass after avoiding 14 Patriot players in the pocket.

Eli IS an ELITE NFL QB.

Ha, ha. Love the smell of victory.

D'oh, I forgot to close the poll prior to gametime.

You do realize he's not the only coach to have done it? Players left before the game was over without shaking the hands of their opponents or anything.

But guess what? Patriots have THREE Super Bowl rings. They've been there before and have already proven themselves time and time again.
