There aren't any tents.

It's the tents that make it sinister.

i'm writing too much to relay a simple concept.

kyle williams is at fault for the loss because his mistakes not only led directly to 10 points (ALL OF THE GIANTS' SECOND HALF POINTS), but were entirely the fault of one person: kyle williams.

the 49ers' offensive ineptitude, or any other team-based factor, is a product of many things, not only the fault of one person. for example, the giants defense had a lot to do with the 49ers struggles. in this way, a team based deficiency, especially when dependent on the direct opposition of the other team, is less culpable than two avoidable fumbles by one man that leads directly to 10 points.

you seem to fail to grasp the simple concept that getting out of the way of a ball on a punt return is the fault of one single man who didn't know what the hell he was doing, while converting on first downs is not only dependent on many offensive pieces to work in harmony, but also the play of the giants defense. determining culpability of a loss must be dependent on the circumstances at play. not all contributing factors to a loss are equal.

No one said that Williams' error and fumble weren't keys to the niners' loss. But again, it's erroneous to put the entire credit for the Giants' win on just those plays, as is to blame them solely for the loss. In a game as close as that with such a defensive standoff, something like that was bound to end up being the deal-breaker. You can't discount how it get to that point, it's more fair to look at everything cumulatively, whereas harping so specifically is more the result of bitterness and sour grapes. The fact is that the Giants deserve credit for getting to a position to make something like that happen and win the game as a result. Had a lesser team not plated well enough to keep the game even or if a better Niners team had capitalized more and gotten a substantial lead, the muff could still have happened and not hurt as much, or the game would never had reached overtime if the Niner's had completed one more drive completely independent of the muff.

So again, it's sour grapes to even bring it up....which is understandable. But that's all it really is, because for all that matters, it's just one of the teams that the Giants beat on the way to winning the Superbowl.

So...thanks Williams...and Smith, and Harbaugh, and the rest of SF organization, and the Falcons, and the Packers, and the Pats, and Cowboys and the Jets...and the rest of football that crossed paths with the Giants on the way to their championship...however it was. :cwink:

What in the blue hell do the 49ers have to do with this year's Super Bowl?

Didn't you know?

The 49ers are the rightful NFL champions who were robbed of their title by a cruel and mercifulless god.

Nothing...it's only Kyle Williams...he let it happen all on his own.

And the Giants' victory is somehow less deserved or legitimate even though every team that plays every game is just as legally entitled to benefit in the same way. And the niners would have definitely beaten the Pats and won the superbowl, and that a (KW*) should be included next to the Giants' logos on all material commemorating Superbowl XLVI. It's only fair, right?

She's the only good thing about the show.

It's not a good sign when Mario Lopez is involved.

I think it would be easier if they just gave Kevin Williams one of the Giants' championship rings instead.

LOL

I mean the Steelers might go down as the only team in the NFL to lose to Tim Tebow in the playoffs, but you don't see us Steeler fans on here crying about it weeks after the fact.

Hah. I said the exact same thing when the Niners fans were crying after their loss.

The 49ers went from 6-10 to a 13-3 team. First NFC Championship in like 14 years? That's a lot to be excited about.

In a thread about a Superbowl when they were just one of the teams in the NFC that didn't make it? Whatever floats your boat. :D

I guess what I mean, was there were a lot of bitter Patriots fans 4 years ago. Posters who went on about, how the Patriots were cheated and how the clock was stopped to measure the conversion on 4th - 1 and never reset properly, how it was more the Patriots losing the game than the Giants winning it. My favorite was Excel, saying how they were going to go 16-0 again next year.

This year, I barely see any Patriots fans here and the 49er fans are more upset than they are when they got 2 painful losses on the grandest stage of them all in 4 years.

I remember Excel coming in after the Patriots' defeat in SB42, and size seven font writing I am inconsolable

Hah. :D

Is it mean to find that hilarious? :o

Is Excel still around? I'd be interested to hear his reaction to this. I also miss that SurfDUI guy; I would have loved to hear his thoughts on the Colts debacle.

Excel quit caring about the Pats after they cut Randy Moss.

He posts in the politics forum. Someone bring him in here.

Remember when "Throw it to Moss!" was the answer to all things?

Q: How can the Patriots take advantage of the Jets' weak defense?
Excel: Throw it to Moss!

Q: Tom Brady is definitely a great quarterback, but what else can he do to boost his legacy?
Excel: Throw it to Moss!

Q: How can the United States improve foreign relations?
Excel: Throw it to Moss!

Yeah, exactly. It's not like the Niners would have won if they would have gone to the Superbowl anyway. :oldrazz:

So, it was better the Giants won. :cwink:

I love Youtube.

Just searching for fan reactions.

Nice one of a girl losing it saying, "It's all Eli Manning's fault...sob....he's just so stupid."

Not as good as the Raven's fan freak out.

Q: How can we bring peace to the Middle East?
Excel: Throw it to Moss!

Q: Who will win the next election?
Excel: Throw it to Moss!

Q: Will Seth Rogen ever be taken seriously as an actor?
Excel: Throw it to Moss!

Q: Who watches the Watchmen?
Excel: Throw it to Moss!

Q: If you had to choose between bowel cancer and getting losing a testicle, which would you take?
