My sis just got the book, but it has Will Smith on the cover, is that different(storyline) from the one with the green cover?

No, it's the same book. They're just using the Will Smith cover to sell more books. It was done with Lord of the Rings by removing the original covers and replacing them with the film version.

Sorry for all the questions, I will have to pick up the book. How does the virus spread? What happened to the people that got off the island? Why aren't all the animals vampires?

i think they have to be bitten by the infected ones

^See that right there. You can tell by the trailers alone this is going to be a drastically different story.

Neville didn't have a dog. That's what made the one dog's appearance in the book so moving. Neville finally received a companion only to see it die one week later.

One thing I was wondering...Do they keep the ending from the book in this movie? Because I heard they were already in talks for a sequel...and I wasn't quite sure how they'd go about that.

In the script that I read, which was dated July, 2006 (I'm fairly certain that it was the final shooting draft), they didn't, but they've since reshot the ending, so it's anyone's guess.

i see nothing wrong with that. he's just so... likable. i know he acts the same in just about every movie he does, but so do denzel washington, russell crowe, and christian bale, and it doesn't stop them from being good.

the newest tv spot i saw on my hd tv, showed that the monster are really veiny and they had a brighter eye color, thats pretty much it
