Will Smith only wishes he was as hot as Christian Bale.:abom: :brucebat: :bh: :im: :dkm:

Hehehehehe LeChuck!

Truce, the novel seems more interesting, as read on Wikipedia. Having read the plot, it doesn't seem to fit with Will Smith... well, perhaps producers wante a youger figure to appeal younger crowd... yawn if so. But if I had not read the novel synopsis, well the movie looks better!

Hoped some of you Will Smith fans might want to know about this.

If you click here and enter the comp you’ll have a chance to meet Will Smith at the premiere for his new movie - I Am Legend - in London on December the 19th.

If you sign up… good luck!

As always, I'm probably the only one who's seen it already... I don't need to explain where I saw it (just look at my sig)...

I loved it, thought it was awesome. Although I haven't seen everything, I Am Legend is definitely a contender for best / my favorite movie of this fall season. Nothing else comes close to it and it's intense and awesome.

Here's a few key things: Will Smith can really hold up a movie on his own and you get that Cast Away feel throughout it and he does a phenomenal job. Secondly, it was intense and suspenseful and thrilling as HELL. This is no "action" movie this is an "action thriller" fully. When I saw it the sound was turned up so loud (just how I like it) that during some scenes you could yell to your friend at full blast and not even hear yourself. That level of audio is needed because the scenes are just intense (that's the best word to describe 'em).

I'm not going to ruin the end, but I will say I looked for re-shoots and couldn't find anything. It looked solid and was a solid end, that's all I'll say. Hope you guys enjoy! Will be a huge hit in a few weeks and I'm guessing most of you will like it. :D

Have only seen mostly negative reviews so far (like this one http://www.comingsoon.net/news/reviewsnews.php?id=39899 ) and the trailer was boring. Looks like another easy forgetable and dull big budget movie in a year that already had an depressing amount of boring blockbusters
Eh, screw Ed Douglas... He's a good friend of mine, but he just writes reviews all day long. Take it from a real fanboy who loves great action thrillers. (hahah, just kidding Ed!) :) I enjoyed it and it was great, that's what I've got to say.

Although I always have this fear that what I think is just me and I need people to back me up but that won't happen for another 2 weeks until people start actually seeing it...! But, no, it's really good.

This movie is going to rock.
im going to see the midnight showing at my local imax theatre

So Will is real good? Jeffrey Lyons said WB are pushing him for Best Actor

Get the book because:

A) It's amazing and you really need to read it. It's short and it'll make your penis 300% larger.*

B) The movie isn't going to be anything like the book. I'm looking forward it it and love Will Smith, but it won't be Matheson's flawless story.

C) Read A again.

Do it.:cmad::cmad:

just 300%? :csad:

Christian Bale, Denzel, and Mr. Crowe, are all very versitile actors compared to Will Smith. Bale and Crowe in particular almost always play very different people, Bale especially. Denzel does have some repetition to his acting, but he occationally shines in something different, Training Day for example. Big Willy is good too but not in the same caliber as those 3 actors. Smith's portrayal of Ali however was amazing.

Bale and Smith are in the same league. Crowe and Denzel are above those two only cuase they have been acting for longer. I think when it's all said and done, Bale and Smith will be equal if not greater than those 2. :o

awesome man thanks:up:

Cool pics. It seems that they added a son, along with the woman who Neville finds out there....unless there was a mother and son in the novel? I only knew there was one woman from watching The Last Man On Earth.

If this movie sucks, then Akiva Goldsman and the guy who wrote that bloody awful Poseidon should be kicked out of Hollywood for good.

There is no son or a woman in the novel. It's Neville living a world of isolation while trying to survive daily attacks from vampires. However, there is a mysterious woman who approaches him which leads to a surprising twist at the end of the novel.

I've already said that it seems like a decent movie, but a complete bastardization of a great novel with an excellent concept. I will still check it out to see whether it's good or not, but in the end, Hollywood will always ruin great stories that don't need to be changed.

heard it was horrible. guy on comingsoon.net gave it 5/10. and said the CG sucked, which was predictable from the trailers.

i dont think its gonna be horrible, but i also dont think it will be really good..just average :/

Perhaps they added him to appeal a specific young daddies crowd...to amplify the american dream...if that's so, yawn. This novel seems very interesting though, I sure intend to read it! It seems very deep and psychological!

Think along the lines of I Robot. It won't be bad but won't be excellent either but it will make over $100 million.

Is it possible that the woman and kid are not really there? As in, the isolation makes him go slightly mad? I don't know about the book (haven't read it yet!) but it could make more sense for something like that to be incorporated?
