I really enjoyed "Turn on the bright lights" and "Antics". Their self titled album was ok, I didn't care for their major label release for the most part. I'm glad to see them at Matador!

Turn on the bright lights and Antics are definitely their best albums.

Do you like the band 'No'?

They are similar to Interpol and The National.

TBH, that's my first listen. I'll have to give them a look into. Sounds appealing to my ears.

I'm looking forward to Death From Above 1979 finally releasing another album.

Indiepop is challenging genre in that it must have mainstream appeal yet enough quirk and weirdness to keep its core audience happy.

Well, Rubblebucket has accomplished both. The first few notes make me think this is as cheesy as it gets, but when the vocals come on, there's a sense of the grandeur. It doesn't hurt that vocalist Kalmia Traver has the voice of an angel.

"Sound of Erasing" makes you feel like you're walking on clouds, yet there's a rawness that keeps you grounded too. Can't wait till their new album "Survival Sounds" comes out in August.

Listening to new tracks from the Manic Street Preachers, some of their best material for years on the new album.

The new Interpol album was disappointing. Like their last two albums there was a few good tracks but the rest was middle or the road output.

I think I'm resigned to the realization Interpol will never top or match their first two albums.

I'm looking forward to Death From Above 1979 releasing a new album after ten years. Hopefully this lives up to the hype.

Wardell aka siblings Sasha and Theo Spielberg (the kids of famous director Steven Spielberg and actress Kate Capshaw) have a new album called Love/Idleness coming out in February on Roc Nation.

Some great music in this thread.

Been listening to this local Indie band called 'Emerald Portal', check em out. They're pretty cinematic and have great music videos that are more like short films than marketing fests.

This one's kind of got a Gorillaz vibe to it. Song's called 'Structures': https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wxGMZrkDVLk

And this one's just a really well done video that really works with the music about dealing with getting old and losing your memories and appreciating what you've had and what you did have. Called 'Frayed Wires':

The Foals, The Maccabees and Spectors latest albums are all great.

I've been digging the band Artificial Pleasure recently. Their music has been described as a mix of Talking Heads, eighties David Bowie and Franz Ferdinand.

The new The National album just came out, been loving it so far.

I like Surf Curse new song 'Disco'.

Editors seem to be trying out a new dance music sound with their new track Frankenstein.

Spector has a new track called I' Won't Wait.

Ugh, Editors used to be one of my favorites with their first 3 albums.
