There's some good stuff in there, some stuff I'm not so keen on. I'm against robbing Wonder-Woman of her one chance to shine, and I'm not too keen on the vibrasex either. Still, the punching robots parts sound awesome as well as the Speed force, the fortress of sulitude, and the fight against Superman. The reviewer doesn't seem to know why he hates it, though, aside from Flash being the audience connection-comic relief.

Doesn't seem too bad, frankly. Maybe if it had gotten those rewritted it was oing to get...

I'm guessing you liked Catwoman and Electra right?

Because there is barely a plot, the characters arent written properly, they lack emotion, plot threads go nowhere, ******ed scenes like flash sex, etc. What's so great about this other than some action scenes?

Interesting how you were able to come to these conclusions based on a Script breakdown made by someone that admited hating it, Earle... :oldrazz:

The Script is not bad at all. Aside from the superspeed sex, Wally uncovering the whole conspiracy with a face aging program and a regular computer and Brother-Eye not being destroyed, it's all good and straight from the comics books and the animated series.

WW has a problem with killing but Batman doesnt. He just snaps Max Lord's neck. He also betrayed the league, but apart from some momentary anger, nothing comes from any of this. Those events are just there for the sake of it. And dont get me started on how Barry is some fool.

Yeah it has Michael Bay action, but it also has Michael Bay plot and humor (Flash moments). :csad:

Batman killing Maxwell Lord I also did not like.

The Justice League only comes together in the ending. Throughout the movie, they are just seven heroes brough together by a conspiracy to take them down. And, altough Batman's way to do things were wrong, he has a point in keeping them in check when it is so easy to mind-control them, like Lord proves when he mind-wipes Superman into believeing that Wonder-Woman killed Lois.

This Script is also a revised draft. The original Plot created by Kieran and Michelle Mulroney was different. The Justice League already existed. Martian Manhunter is kidnapped by Lord, a regular human that uses the nanites to control the Martian Manhunter's telephatic powers and mind-wipe Superman into believing Batman killed Lois Lane, which leads to Wonder-Woman being called to help Batman, all while the Flash investigates Martian Manhunter's disappearance and Green Lantern and Aquaman are attacked by OMACs. Lex Luthor was the one that was actually pulling the strings in this version and Thalia wanted revenge for Batman killing R'as Al Ghul in Batman Begins.

Not to forget the Darkseid/White Martians/Checkmate/OMAC Project Script and the Crime Syndicate/OMAC Project Script.

Wow. And I thought Sherlock Holmes was abominable enough, but the sequel is going to be beyond all current comprehensions of terrible.

Can you show me when he says this is his issue. His negative reactions seem limited to Flash. But meybe I misread?

But now, thanks to you, sir, I am forced to defend my nerdly honor, lest I be barred from movie discussion for life! I must present sufficiently negative opinion of Catwoman an Elektra, confound me! Here goes! Elektra was just okay. Some nice fights and effects. Didn't like how quickly the "hit(wo)man" angle was dropped. Catwoman I've never seen whole. Didn't care then. Don't care now.

I mean, if that's important to you.

From what i can gather from those bulletpoints of the plot all those subplots lead to nothing. Tower of Babel was all about Batman's plans and his betrayal of the JL. Here its only way to explain how the villains took down the heroes. Killing Max Lord? No problem there, lets move on to the next action sequence. Who cares about murder right?

Take your eyes off the action and realise that its a Bay plot with Bay humor. Almost anyone can come up with good action, but you have to be ******ed to write this plot. Batman killing, Flash atomic sex, Barry being a fool, etc, etc...

Batman's paranoia appears to be a big part of the Script, as far as the breakdown goes. As for Lord's death, yes, it appears to be overlooked, but then again, Max doesn't really die. His conscience is transfered to the Super-OMAC and later destroyed by Barry to save the entire world at the cost of his life. I don't think the others, Superman included, would reprimand him for that.

I remember both Bruce and Clark giving Diana hell for killing him, and i think that fits better with their characters.

EXCLUSIVE: Teresa Palmer Still Wants to Play Talia Al Ghul in The Dark Knight Rises

November 20th, 2010

[snip]

We continued by asking the actress how she had prepared to play the role in Justice League of America?

"I was going to do it with a Russian accent in Justice League of America and I was fitted for all the outfits," she said.
http://www.movieweb.com/news/NEFndLqhLoFpIO

What else would it have to be?

Talia has a vaguely Russian sounding accent in the animated series, doesn't she?

Or is it German?

I can't remember it real well, and for some reason, can't find a single clip of it online.

Here's a small clip:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZ3cpVxSH_A#t=2m01s

It's so generically "foreign" I don't think you can precisely pinpoint it to a specific region. The vagueness is why I've come to terms with it. It'd make sense for a girl who's traveled the word to pick up on all the different dialects and over the years have it melded into one indistinct accent.

Palmer citing Russian origins just comes off weird to me. Sure it's not that different from having a British Ra's, but the intellectual aura surrounding that voice suits the character so well. I get a very particular image in my head when I envision a Russian female. Talia does not fit in it.

Small sample, but it sounds almost like a mix of French and Russian.

Her name is "Talia". That does sound kind of vaguely Russian, even if it's not.

R'as Al Ghul lives in China, has a arab name and a irish accent. I can't see why Thalia can't have a russian accent.

Wow, I may be a few weeks late but I just read that script summary. Holy crap this would've been a disaster.

....And to think people actually tried to defend Batman's portrayal of "Schizo" a few weeks ago.

Not to mention that they made Barry Allen, one of the most likable heroes, into an annoying jackass.

Here's the FULL plot for Justice League: Mortal:
The movie would be set in the same Universe as "Batman Begins" and "Superman Returns".

It'd begin with Superman, wearing a black and silver costume, landing on the rooftop of a church, where he meets with Wonder-Woman, the Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman and Martian Manhunter. Together, they descend into the streets, where they are surrounded by civillians and journalists as they enter the church, where a funeral is being held. Batman watches them from a affar.

Six days before, Batman, using a state-of-art surveilliance satellite called Brother-Eye, spies on the other members of the Justice League: Clark Kent, Diana from Themyscera, Barry Allen, John Stewart, Arthur Curry and John Jones.

After Batman leaves for a meeting with Maxwell Lord under his civillian identity, the Bat-computer in hacked by a outside source, that uses Brother-Eye to resume spying on John Jones, a police detective from Central City.

John receives a package and, upon opening, a swarm of nanobots is sprayed on his face. They enter his body and take over his movements, forcing him to reveal himself as the Martian Manhunter to his co-worker before making him fly to a certain location in Colorado.

Barry Allen spots him and attempts to follow him as the Flash, but fails. Upon arriving in Colorado, J'onn is captured by mysterious forces.

As the Justice League investigates Martian Manhunter's disappearance, Batman finds out Brother-Eye has been compromised and that the files he kept on how to defeat each member of the Justice League have been stolen.

Those files are uploaded on the OMACs, advanced cyborgs that take over ordinary people trough a nanovirus. The OMACs are send to destroy the Justice League, while a mysterious enemy uses the nanobots to take over Martian Manhunter's powers and use his telephaty to take over Superman and force him to kill Batman.

Wonder-Woman and Batman engage in a powerful battle against Superman, while Green Lantern and Aquaman fight the OMACs send after them and the Flash's investigation leads him to a castle in Belgica, where he is murdered by the mastermind behind the attack after finding J'onn. The mastermind is not one, but two: Maxwell Lord and Thalia Al Ghul.

Lord believes that the superheroes are taking over the world and changing the natural course of history, and wants to destroy them to "save the world", whereas Thalia, the new leader of the League of Shadows, wants revenge for her father's, R'as Al Ghul, death at the hands of Batman years prior.

They have created the OMAC virus with the help of an outside source and use the OMACs to attack the Justice League.

Batman finds Lord's hideout and Wonder-Woman snaps his neck to release J'onn and Superman from his control. Thalia fights Batman and is defeated, but the Justice League now has to deal with the OMAC army and the real mastermind behind it's creation: Lex Luthor.

Using a powerful EMP generator created by Wayne Industries and aided by the former Kid Flash, Wally West, now the second Flash, the Justice League defeats the OMACs, but Luthor gets away with his envolvement in all of this.

Batman leaves the group, Wonder-Woman receives murder charges and Wally decides to join the Justice League and honor his uncle's legacy. At the ending, it is revealed that there was a fouth villain envolved in the conspiracy: Darkseid, who is planning a invasion to Earth, setting up the sequel.

Warner hired George Miller to direct the movie and planned to have a big ensemble cast, with Brandon Routh as Superman; Christian Bale as Batman; Jessica Biel as Wonder-Woman; Anton Yelchin as the Flash; Columbus Short as Green Lantern; Leonardo DiCaprio as Aquaman; Lawrence Fishburne as Martian Manhunter; Scarlett Johansson as Thalia; Mel Gibson as Maxwell Lord and Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor.

However, Christopher Nolan felt that the movie would damage the image of the sequel of "Batman Begins", "The Dark Knight", already in production.

To prevent this, Warner decide to rewrite the movie as of not being connected to the Nolanverse. This, allied to the fan backlash and the expensive taxes charged by the Australian government, led Warner to settle for a lesser cast, with D.J. Cotrona as Superman; Armie Hammer as Batman; Megan Gale as Wonder-Woman; Adam Brody as the Flash; Common as Green Lantern; Santiago Cabrera as Aquaman; Hugh Keays-Byrne as Martian Manhunter; Jay Baruchel as Maxwell Lord and Teresa Palmer as Thalia Al Ghul.

Miller decide to rewrite the movie by himself, making it a gritty, bloody, almost "Watchmen"-like tale that dwelved deeply into the Justice Leaguers troubled psyches. Warner decided that it was just not worth it to continue with the project and interrupted the production two weeks before filming began. Sets, props, costumes, storyboard and Animatics had already been done by the time.

The Justice League's headquarters would be the Hall of Justice in Washington, D.C., designed by Diana and John Stewart and funded by Bruce Wayne.

The Fortress of Solitude, the Batcave, the Themyscera embassy, Barry Allen's house, the Atlantis throne room and Maxwell Lord's mansion/headquarters would be heavily featured.

Superman's costume was all blue except for gold belt and red cape, and had Kryptonian lettering etched into its fabric, a digital print along his arms, like electronic data. His belt had fine detail that told the story of how he landed on earth.

Batman's suit was all black, more like a black-ops military soldier. Very bulky, solid and practical. He carried tools on his belt, like batrangs, hooks and gas grenades. Not as futuristic or sleek as the Nolan one.

Wonder Woman's armor was realistic, ancient Greek warrior, with leather bodice and a battle-skirt with greek symbols on the belt. No stars, stripes or spandex of any kind.

Flash had a classic suit - full red bodysuit, flash logo on chest, runners, the golden ear wings were smaller, and went straight back instead of outwards.

Green Lantern had the classic John Stewart version of the uniform, but more alien and organic-looking.

Aquaman had the modern look - long hair, green scaly tights, golden armor, but assymetrical, so his left shoulder was exposed. His left hand had a harpoon attachment.

Martian Manhunter used his original martian form troughout the movie.

Iris West would be heavily featured in the movie and Zoe Kazan was cast to play her. There were also rumors about a certain Dr. Patrick O'Brien, played by Bob Saget. You must remember that that's Plastic-Man's secret identity.

Further rewrites of the movie had the Justice League's origin being told, but still featured the OMACs and the League of Assassins. Further rewrites also had R'as Al Ghul, in the classic immortal eco-terrorist version, play a major part alongside Max, Thalia and Lex.

Everything in bold would have been a comic fans dream come true IMO.

If that would have been made as future spinoff of batman Begins and Superman returns
It would have been one of the biggest films ever made.A shame Nolan keep it from
getting made.

I would have kept everything but the SR connection. BR can stay, but Spacey and the ties to SR have to go.
