Yeah. Exiles doesn't need a reoccuring villain at all. He/she would only meddle in the already difficult/interesting missions the team embarks on in each world.

I still think that if somehow Dark Beast could get there and lock them out of the Crystal Palace......that would rule....Dark Beast would be the prefect Villain for the Exiles.

SO far Claremont had yet to amaze me in his one issue......though It looks like he is setting something up with the bugs.....I also liked heather reluctancy to do anything with 616, it makes sense.......But another Wolverine? Damit....Screw wolverine.....what is up with the covers of the Exiles in a pile and someone on top of them? How many times have we seen this cover...not even on Exiles.

Also I don't like Pelletier on Exiles....He was great on She Hulk, but here I just don't like him.....The way he draws Sabertooth's face is nauseating.

Exiles #91 will arrive in stores on Feb. 14 from Marvel Comics. The issue is written by Chris Claremont, with art and cover by Paul Pelletier.

Here's how Marvel describes the issue:

"While Psylocke is welcomed to the team through mortal combat with Sabretooth, Blink finds herself up against an army of Hand warriors and the Madam Hydra of this world is revealed to be...let's just say the gang is in for stormy weather."

See what I mean about Pelletier dawing abertooth's Head.......

I like Pelletier's art a lot on this title, especially with Sabretooth when compared to Calafiore's. Calafiore's art has just been getting tedious, and I know he's more or less the classic penciler on this title, but some of his looks just bite.

On a different note, Claremont really surprised me with this issue. I remembered his Claremont-isms, really quick-like - I haven't read Claremont in awhile. Still, it's a good set-up, and at least the Psylocke-Sabretooth fight isn't senseless. Given their past, of course she'd attack him, despite him not being the one who's torn her a hole before (or, well, several, as it were). And him being him, of course he'll fight back. All in all, decent set-up, and I was right:

It is SUCH a fresh of breath air from Bedard's reign.

I think it's funny how soon Claremont threw in the Roma-Guardian of the Multiverse stuff :D

Finally picked up the new issue....few thoughts....

It was a pretty good opener to the new writer and arc.

I thought the way they threw away Power Princess was stupid, got rid of one of the non-mutants, and took away the only heavy hitter they have.

I am NOT that excited or happy to have Psylocke on the team. She is not that interesting and adds nothing to the team's dynamics.

I am happy though that Claremont is not ignoring Bedard's story with Morph/Proteus...and hopefully this means that he will run with it and eventually fix Morph.

I was ok with Psylocke attacking Creed. The last time they met up, Creed disemboweled her, and she has no reason to think that he wouldn't do so again.

All in all, it gives me hope for his run...I just hope it doesn't mean he is going to make Psylocke the leader of the Exiles....technically Blink should still be.:cmad:

How did Sabertooth even get back to the palace to fight Psylocke anyway? More specifically, in the desert.

I'm sure Heather sent him there to greet her, and Psylocke mistook it for an attack.

I like most of it, I just hate the way he draws Sabertooth's face, the rest is great. Sadly, the Sabes Face thing is enough to upset me.

I say we bring back Clayton Henry....where is Henry these days anyway?

Sigh,... she is just "Firmly Packed" and "plumped for Cooking"

.
WHY do women not understand the facination of the majority of male folk for the female form? Esp all the Squezzzable goodness and gloriously Snappy parts?

.
(sorry,.. I had to turn down an offer - her price was too high)

By the Goddess!!! I can't wait to get this issue... please tell me NOW what references where made to Roma??? I love her, I knew Claremont would bring her in!!! IT was about time!!! I'm so happy :D

Harlekin, the solicits say "Stormy weather" in reference to the Madame Hydra, and that cover shows us MAdame Hydra is Sue Storm... it was just a pun, to make us believe it was Ororo, but in truth it was Sue.

They were running some simulation program to see what would have happened if Proteus got free from Morph and Roma's face appeared and there was a flash of her palace.
