Fans involved? Press conferences are for press, fans aren't involved anyway. Fans are involved by watching it on the internet, which they'll be doing the same either way. Does showing a lot of stuff live somehow make it more important than if it's pre-recorded even if it's the same content?

So, really, the 3DS didn't have a huge showing at this E3, huh? There was Project STEAM, and a release date for Smash 3DS. But outside that, I don't think there was a whole lot of new stuff announced.

I was actually disappointed about that. I was hoping we'd get one or two more 3DS reveals. We did get Monster Hunter 4 I guess. Not a Monster Hunter fan myself, but my girlfriend is over the moon excited for that one.

Japanese Nintendo Direct To Focus On Third-Party 3DS Games. July 10, 2014 . 7:33am


Nintendo will stream a new Nintendo Direct presentation in Japan,
focusing on third-party games for the Nintendo 3DS.

Tomorrow, on July 11th, Nintendo will stream a new Nintendo Direct presentation in Japan, focusing on third-party games for the Nintendo 3DS.

The Nintendo Direct will take place at 8:00 pm JST (that’s 4:00 am PST). You’ll be able to stream it here.

A similar presentation has not been announced for North America or Europe yet.

I'm hoping we have a decent amount of stuff on there that will actually see localization outside of Japan. I'm guessing DQX probably won't (if it didn't come here for the PC, Wii, Wii U, I doubt it will for the 3DS), but maybe other stuff actually will (Maybe Nintendo will localization that FF game coming to 3DS since Square is useless with localization nowadays). E3 was fairly dry for the 3DS, needs some pump.

This morning, Nintendo held a brief 22-minute Nintendo Direct presentation in Japan that focused on a select handful of third-party 3DS games.

The presented included: Final Fantasy Explorers, Tales of the World: Reve Unitia, Dragon Quest X for 3DS, Forbidden Magna, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, and a new Kenka Bancho title tease.

Eh, I feel like if they were going to bring it over, they would've already. It's been out for a couple of years across three different platforms.

Yeah well they're weird on not knowing what people will want to play from them. and Iwata did admit when they made the WiiU they were looking at their own streets in japan which has become had held centrail ( in the inner citys mostly) when they did a sensuous on what people want and it burned them cause they didn't look at the west and take it all ito account. Apparently we always have to let them know Loudly .

Considering how easy online trading is, I don't see much need to get Y myself. I'm going to get Zelda, for sure, but not sure on the other game. Bravely Default maybe? I downloaded the demo of it, but haven't played it. May try it to see what I think. That Tomodachi Life demo was...odd. I'm not sure if I really liked it or not.

Really? BOGO free on select games and $20-30 off certain items is good, but it's not really sensational. Now if it was BOGO free on all 3DS titles then it'd be pretty incredible.

I own all of those titles, except for Golf and the Disney one. I guess I could buy Golf and get Disney, then trade Disney in someplace. Hardly worth it though

Deal is live now, just to remind anyone who may be interested. I got Zelda and Tomodachi Life. Was going to get Bravely Default, but figured I'd try Tomodachi and see how I liked it. That demo was strange but fun in it's own weird way. Might do Bravely Default and something else to flip, not sure yet.

I just got a Pro Controller for a little over $40 not too long ago :/

I got mine at GS. Weird, though, I thought they were discontinuing white and making black the standard. Must've got that mixed up somewhere

I recall reading that Nintendo is going to start selling 32 GB Wii U's in white in Japan, so, that might explain why their black controllers are going for cheap right now.

The reviews say it's a legit controller, so I would say it was.

Any time you're shopping on Amazon for controllers, always read the reviews, and see if they're real. I bought a fake Wii classic controller, because I didn't read the reviews. Luckily, Amazon is great with returns, and I was able to get my money back.

I may pick up an extra white Pro Controller for $30. That's pretty good for a brand new controller. It would be nice to have an extra one.

So I just got the white Pro Controller and a new 3DS XL. I've been using my old small 3DS and have been wanting to upgrade, and Best Buy was selling the Mario & Luigi: Dream Team 3DS XL Bundle for $170, so I got that too. I like the grey color, and I love the Mario and Luigi theme that is stamped on the front. Normally, I'm not a fan of themed devices, but I think that one looks pretty cool. Not too flashy, and it still has some of my favorite Nintendo characters on the front. Not bad....
