Turn Your 3DS XL Into An Arcade Stick With This Accessory. August 8, 2014 . 2:09am

While not as cool as the Gamecube controller 3DS mod, the Cyber Arcade Stick is easier to attach. This Nintendo 3DS XL accessory puts an arcade style joystick over the system’s d-pad.

Perhaps, it’s useful for Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition or BlazBlue Continuum Shift II? It looks too bulky for Super Smash Bros., but perhaps, as Inside Games suggests, it’s useful for Virtual Console titles.

The Cyber Arcade Stick accessory will be available on October 31 for 3,002 yen.

That looks kinda awkward, since the LB button is still on the left side. If they could have made it so that all 6 buttons where on the right side, and all equal size and a bit bigger, that could've been a cool little attachment.

Although, it's still a bit superfluous, when I think the regular controls will work out just fine, since that's what developers design the games around.

Anyone else here have Mario Kart 7? It's really, really boring. It's just dull. Every kart combo I've tossed together feels like it moves at a snails pace.

I love MK7, and I've been playing it a lot recently since I upgraded to the XL. I never fully completed it, cause my hands would cramp up on the small 3DS.

But I think I do enjoy MK8 more. They're both really good.

MK7 is good, but there's just some piece missing that's keeping me from loving it as much as MK8, MK Wii, or Double Dash.

I love it. It's my 2nd or 3rd favorite MK game. MK8 is my favorite, and I like both MK7 and DD about equal.

I'm not really a fan of MK Wii.

MK Wii got better once I figured out I didn't have to use the **** motion controls.

I'm reading that Nintendo 3DS's (OG model, not XL) are going on clearance at Radio Shacks that carry them for $99, wit a 25% clearance bonus for a short time. Not sure if it's a standard thing, can't seem to find info, or a select thing. I'm going to check mine out later, though I don't think they actually carry game consoles anymore. Be worth it just to flip.

Nintendo 3DS Software Sales Reach 40 Million In U.S. August 15, 2014 . 8:29am

Nintendo of America share sales figures for some of Nintendo’s games in the U.S. market.

Following yesterday’s NPD Report for the month of July, Nintendo of America shared sales figures for some of Nintendo’s games in the U.S. market. You can find the full list below. It focuses entirely on Nintendo 3DS titles.

Mario Kart 7: 3.48 million
Super Mario 3D Land: 3.09 million
New Super Mario Bros. 2: 2.28 million
Pokémon X: 2.10 million
Pokémon Y: 2.01 million
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D: 1.39 million
Animal Crossing: New Leaf: 1.36 million
Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon: 1.33 million
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds: 1.09 million

Nintendo said over 40 million units of Nintendo 3DS software have been sold in the U.S. alone. Additionally, nine 3DS titles have sold at least 1 million copies in the U.S.

Nintendo also said that Mario Kart 8 for Wii U has crossed 1 million copies sold in the U.S., while New Super Mario Bros. U has sold 1.69 million copies.

Yep, I posted that up earlier. If NOA brings it over, I'll upgrade from my current XL, but I know they won't.

I'll definitely upgrade, but I'm in agreement that NOA probably won't bring it here. NOA really doesn't like consumers here like NOJ and NOE like their customers.

I'm upgrading for SSB3DS, anyway. Played the demos at Best Buy and there is a critical difference between trying to play SSB competitively on the old 3DS and the 3DS XL.

Nintendo is selling refurbished Legend of Zelda XLs (the ones that came with ALBW) from their store if you have any interest in that, Wolf. I know it's refurb, but Nintendo has a good rep for their refurb products. That and it's an impossible to find model at this point and all.

A refurbished Zelda XL and the Mario and Luigi XL go for around $179 at Gamestop.

Oh wow. $150 for that XL is really ****ing tempting.

BTW anyone play Mini's on the move? Just bought it and I love it. Can't wait for the Wii U version. This is the first Mario and DK game I've ever played. Can't believe I've missed out on this franchise.

Have you guys even seen the gold Zelda XL? The thing is way too shiny.

Yeah, I know its gold, but those pictures don't do it justice for how shiny that thing is. It looks more like a flat gold in pics, but that thing is highly reflective.

The 3DS has kind of dried up a little software wise these last few months. Be good to see some new upcoming stuff.

Anyone else getting Gunvolt tomorrow on the eShop? You get two games in one! You get the regular Gunvolt, and then the 8-bit crossover Might Gunvolt.

Not getting it tomorrow, but I will be getting it next week. That game looks amazeballs.
