Oh no, the writer implied Bales quote. It fits nicely with the rest of this review thing that is written like something you would find in one of those Free City Talk free papers you find in headshops.

No that this dude has already posted this review twice and it's already been folded into THE ALREADY EXISTING REVIEW THREAD twice as well, if not outright deleted. Reposting it in full with a different title doesn't mean it's going to stay up.

Again, people, all this stuff is, has been, and is continuing to be discussed in the PRE-EXISTING THREAD.

Travers isn't worthy of his own thread, especially since he doesn't even WATCH the f**kin movies he reviews anymore.

*shrugs* It's all good he can write it how he wants, bottom line is he liked the film I guess.

I'm assuming the guys just saw the part where it said "Sorry Superman but Batman is the real badass" and assumed that's what the writer was saying when it was actually a quote from Bale (and something that's not that serious either way you view it) and thought he was wrong

lol
 :o Yeah, pretty much!

Hell, to me that helps validate your status as "Film buff"
Sorry, but I've been spending more time discussing film at hometheaterforum.com to even consider IGN having a movie section...

Same here. I did like the first one, and I'm really looking forward to the next.

Hell, it's got a f**kin KRAKEN, Man. Kraken = Tickets Sold.
Kraken is good. But Bill Nighy with tentacles on his face = awesome.

Hmm (about ya sig) I was hyped for Nas' new CD, but after reading that he's makin it a pop-rap cd, I have some doubts...How you gonna name your CD Hop Hop is dead, and make a CD where your pretty much doing the killing...

On topic though, I thought the review was pretty good.

Nah I read that about Nas, it aint gonna be like that. DJ Premier said on MTV.com he's on the record and you've heard the leaked song where y'all at? The beats kinda sparse but lyrics are sick. Check the Hip Hop thread I posted it there

oh word? If Premo's gonna be on there it is gonna be nice. And yeah I heard that track, ish is def. crack.

Rolling Stone didn't like it much :(

Well, I hope we will get more positive reviews from another critics.

I am also waiting for Total Film and Coming Soon! reviews.

Are you kidding? That was a great review, especially from the likes of Travers.

Also, I just read David Poland's review (whoever the Hell this guy is) . . . I would have taken it a little more seriously had he not gone out of his way to make himself look like a total moron . . . then I went on to confirm this point after reading his reviews of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and United 93--only an idiot gives The Texas Chainsaw Massacre a better rating than United 93.

Regarding The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Poland states, "It’s a little premature to review the movie in depth right now, but simply put, this one is about as close to movie perfection as you can get."

. . . . . . . . . I think that statement pretty much speaks for itself . . . . . . . . .

they only gave spiderman 1 and 2 3 stars and the general consensus for spiderman 2 at least is that it is among the best superhero movies so once again this is jus one person at ign's perspective on superman. if another person from ign had reviewed it cud have gotten 5 stars or 1 star. its all opinion.

LOL, it's pretty obvious where you're coming from and what you're trying to do here, bud. Batman Begins was great, but show me this crown that supposedly adorns it's head indicating it's title of being "best superhero film ever".

Not that I take a place that primarily reviews video games seriously.

I was talking about in accordance to ign, Batman begins recieved a 4.5 out of 5 stars.

http://filmforce.ign.com/articles/624/624488p3.html

Even at IMDB batman begins got some killer reviews it got a 8.4 out of 10 and the movie is in the top 250films of all time.

X-men 3 is garbage i agree but you can't deny the fact that the action in x-men 3 was pretty sick.

Sick is a derogatory term in this sentence, isn't it?

The action in Superman Returns is better by leaps and bounds because you actually feel for the character. You are more involved in it. I couldn't care less that Magneto wanted to take a stroll to Alcatraz sio he just had to destroy a national landmark.

And let me just say that we finally see Superman used to his full potential. It's not "spinning the earth back on it's axis" stuff, but the action in SR is very powerful. This movie goes where Smallville and The Adventure of Lois and Clark never went, dare I say, even somewhere where the Animated Series never went.

 Well duh. It only cost $200 million. I better see some better s*** than I do on SV.

I am fairly certain most of that money went to filming locations and marketing.
And kevin Spacey's salary probably. :)

Actually that $200 (or 209) million has nothing to do with marketing. That's not included in the production costs. A lot of that money (I'd say maybe a quarter of it at the minimum) is on VFX and post-production.

I just went to Alexa.com and this IGN ranking is way offbase based on the movie related sites you listed. That 160 IGN rank is based off the main IGN website (ign.com), which is primarily geared towards gaming. A more accurate comparision would be be to use the movie section of IGN (http://filmforce.ign.com/), but Alexa.com doesn't chart it.

Um thats because filmforce is apart of IGN. It's traffic is included with IGN. That's why there is no ranking for filmforce. But please..I'm not hear to back IGN. I can't stand them. I'm was just trying to point out there ranking compared to other sites that some may take more seriously. Or perhaps just different sites in general.
