look at what movies that guy actually likes, he's all hard over some movie called Meg, about a giant shark, wow, that sounds original, thank god that hasn't been done 100 x over........

or that Slither movie, they are wannabe film critics, except they lack the ability and knowledge to be able to sit back and anaylze a moive intellectualy, I mean, for example, those guys loved Hostel, which I thought was the biggest waste of my time........... they are no more then studio plants, go to their website, whatever ads they have going on their site that are for movies, they always give those movies GREAT reviews

Actually, he's hard over MEG because I think he either wrote the script or he's producing it. Either way, MEG is a CHUD project they've been working on for quite sometime. That's why he's all about it.

With Christian Bale and Christopher Nolan, Batman is not only in safe hands but as primed for film history as a character this overexposed can possibly be. Over repeat viewings, the flaws become less of a problem and the virtues damn near shine.


Batman Begins rocks. It rocks pretty damn hard.

3. FOX News gives it a nuetral/negative review (but what do you expect? They probably think that Superman landing the plane in the baseball field is a criticism of how GW ran his baseball team.)

some people just don't like to acknowledge the fact that others will have a different opinion about something they're so passionate about. I'll admit it, my love for superman does produce a bias that makes me "blow off" negative reviews.

however, with this fox review, i can see how this reporter may (key word is "may"...it's just an assumption) have been coerced into writing a review more towards the negative side due to the conflict of interest. i don't think fox would want anyone promoting the material of a major competitor, let alone the works of a director that could have made their last film much more successful. what kind of impression would that give?

"hey, go see superman returns. it rocks the freaking house off. the director that we pushed away made a film with our major competitor that will probably demolish our own work in a few weeks. go see it!"

negative reviews are fine...biased reviews, however, are not my cup of tea. this fox review seems just a bit jaded towards that.

again, just an opinion. no pitchforks or flaming crosses needed. =)

LMAO my favorite is from people who have not seen it, and post how great its going to be and no one says hey wait till you see it but if you post anything negative you get labled a hater and told wait to see it before judging it even if the negative you posted about is a known fact and does happen in the movie.

For a simple example the kid if you like him no one says anything except to jump on board and concour with you how he is a great idea and wil add so much to the story.
If you do not like the idea of the kid no matter what your reasons are(mine is simple I want an explination about how the kid cam einto being not to have to speculate a major plot part) its wait till you see it and how he plays out in it or you are just a hater.

I could care less if Bryan Singer is gay or not, because he's one of my favorite directors. But for people who don't know if it's true or not, he is gay. Read the Entertainment Weekly article on Superman Returns.

I´m generally okay with Nick - dunno what´s his problem with SR, though - but Devin I can´t stand. I think CHUD tends to go overboard with the sarcasm thing, they tend to sound like British press, always cynical about every movie, "we´re cooler than this" kind of attitude. I stopped reading them cuz of that.
