Coffee/drinks are almost a non-committal date that allows for either a quick exit or a prolonged meeting.

The whole thing with FWB is you tend to need to be friends first. Seeing you know pretty much nothing about this girl is why some people are questioning your methods.

Well I'm sorry I'm not a Smooth Criminal when it comes to these things.

I do know I will never have a gf or wife that hates beards. And I will never get married, unless if the woman needs a greencard or something. That's just what I think of marriage. Most people divorce these days, too many people get married young and have families young, Marriage is like a joke these days imho.

Ok, let's put it this way. I'm jealous of Johnny Depp, Ryan Reynolds, Dean(bass player) from Chevelle, and Conan O Brien just for the sole fact they have better beards than me. I don't even care for my face without a beard. I think I'm borderline so-so looking with clean shaven face, and good looking with a beard. Just my opinion of me, but I'll shave it off tomorrow.

I actually try and keep up my beard now a days. It kinda like Ryan's from Blade 3 now. And yes, I will shave it. Hell, half the time I use a beard trimmer I mess up and end up shaving my entire beard off anyway. You want me to post pic in here or photo thread?

This whole thing isn't about having a wife or girlfriend or any kind of special relationship with the girls, outside of if you're hanging out and you're both horny you do something about it. You're looking at it in absolutely the wrong way. The FWB relationship is all about no strings attached sex. Girlfriend, marriage, kids, any of that should not even be part of the conversations with her. You're not going to be talking about your feelings or anything like that, she'll just be a friend you occasionally bang.

I agree, its just what fits the look better. I can pull off the goatee look and I keep it (or try to) trimmed.

Why, because I'm not a zombie like the general population? A number with the same hair cut and clean shaven? Maybe I feel better emotional at times with longer hair and a beard, did you ever think about that. Just like with tattoos, I actually feel better when getting work done.

And yes, sooner or later I will cut my hair and be clean shaven. Hell, I've had a Mr Clean hair cut several times in my life in high school and after school just for halloween.

At the same time, in this present situation he's not so much looking for a relationship as a FWB.

I'd be more concerned if he WAS looking to make changes than if he's saying things like "not if a gun was pointed at my head".

If he WAS looking for a relationship, I'd probably be making different comments, but kid's young and says he's not looking for that.
