That seems to be the sum total of all the haters argument. The script and a little common sense can help address the haters' complaints.

1. Bumblebee will not look like that photo you saw with the man standing in form of him. Evidence: The studio just released official pics of optimus and they blacked out his friggin' optics!!! Do you think they'd release a full-body shot of one of the main characters?
2. Bumblebee transforms himself from a 1970's camaro to a 2008 camaro in the blink of an eye. Why couldn't he have been a 1960's VW before that?
3. Bumblebee not talking does several things - gives us sympathy for the character, creates a strange unease about Sam's car, adds much needed humor, lets the audience slowly enter the world of "talking robots" and keeps the mystery of the transformers alive until Optimus and crew shows up
4. Optimus with flames and long hood gives hasbro new toy designs to sell and makes way for the return of G1 optimus in part 2.
5. You're actually moaning about product placement? The entire show was a commercial for TOYS as is this movie. How does this point escape you all???

Please haters, let your inner little kid enjoy this movie for what it is and not for what it ain't. Or if you have kids, let them enjoy it and don't ruin the experience for them.

You make some good points. Let me add my two cents.
1. The studio has confirmed that that pic is the real deal.
2. You read the script, Spike(Sam) wanted a cool car so he wouldn't get picked on. '60s Bug is no longer cool with today's teenagers.
3. I agree with you on this one, except I wish Bumblebee would speak in robot mode.

Bumblebee not talking is a plot device. I think they wanted to hold off the exposition until Optimus arrives. Bumblebee talking would take away from the big reveal later on. I don't really care, it still gets across the character's personality and makes him likable.

In the script they are literally brothers. They are, as Optimus said, "Twin sons of the Prime Dynasty"...Plus there is some discussion between Optimus and Iron Hide about if he would be able to fire on his own brother when the time came.

true. that means there are or atleast was a transformer-most likely a decepticon- on mars. I foudn it interesting because they said before that the events of the trailer was not in the film continuity. I kind of hope they decided to keep that part in to be honest

So, I just listened to that webcast with the screenwriters, and they mention of lot of stuff that is NOT in this script. There's TONS of backstory stuff and character interaction references (mostly with Starscream and Megatron) that is NOT in the script that we've all read!

How early of a draft is this?!

The brother thing doesn't really bother me. I think it was unnecessary, but I'm cool.

I didn't think it was going to bother me but it ended up doing just that. All the dramatic "...my brother" and stuff. I didn't like how it was handled.

And I don't know..maybe deep down I like the simplicity of the two factions fighting for supremacy.

Hopefully it's handeled better in later drafts

I wouldn't say they almost NEVER are alike. That's almost(but not quite) a rare thing. There could be huge changes in this script(hopefully for the love of God) but overall that's the story and most of the beats.

side note:
I do hope they cut down on some of the pentagon type scenes. Rereading it a bit. Not that this is complaning of the human element but they just got tiring.
