But what would Frenzy even transform into? I know it'd be kind of wierd having a boom box in the white house, but what does Frenzy even transform into that can fit in a Brawl?

The "character" still Transforms into a boom box. And I don't think the scene is in the white house.... it's on Air Force One.

Then why the name change? Soundwave and a boom box just go together! I just don't think the name Frenzy fits him at all, except for the whole, metal discs thing.

Okay, I see now. The panel wouldn't be in the white house, but I just got confused, cuz it mentioned the President's office.

Well, considering what happens to Frenzy in the script, I'd say it's a good thing he's not Soundwave.

P.S. Why is this "Official" script almost word for word like the script I have on my hard drive that I've had for the past month and a half that had been written in January?

No they don't Soundwave and a small portable music player go together. Blaster and a boombox go together. I see your point though. I however think Soundwave should be something more substantial than a boombox. Soething like... a TV news van or something along those lines. Maybe, since the Decpticons see to be taking on alt modes derived from government vehicles, this could be Soundwave.

Since I first heard about this movie and them not using mass shifting I thought Soundwave would make an awesome AWAK Surveillance/Communications plane.

it would be funny if after this movie Bay decides to do Robotech and all of the veritechs look like the G1 Transformers, He'll prolly say that he wanted to go with a more real world automobile look instead of planes

LOL bay would say that! he's so funny, i love him, and everything he does is just... perfect.:heart::heart::heart::heart:

the robotic mule really creeped me out. and why have i never heard about this sheep-human hybrid?

Judging by the latest interview...this script is incredibly out of date with many many scenes changed, deleted, added, etc...

This leaked script is worthless.

no it's not. if you look at the set pics, most of them can be matched up to scenes in the leaked script

Already have it- well, now I do. Actually very easy to find wih a simple google search.

Hey I just had a thought. Anyone think the super-special military unit (:whatever:) in the script, SECTOR-7, might be renamed SIGMA-6 in the final product? Why not? It would allow Hasbro to tie-in two franchises in one stroke. I mean, the characters don't have to be the super known ones... like Duke or Snake Eyes. But could be lesser known "grunts."

Just a thought.

I think that you think you know something about the film-making process as it realtes to the Hollywood machine, and you don't. The director, especially on this project is in the employ of the studio, and the Producers have more of a say in the script and product placement than he does. If he doesn't play nice and do as the studio wants he can get fired...he is an employee. Bay is not at the point in his career that he gets to call the shots.

I have made indie films, and now I work in the Hollywood Studio Machine...it is a different reality than the one you see and think you know. The people with the money call all the shots...period...end of story...

Bluejake, could you give us some more insights into the decision making behind these types of films if you can (especially the creative side)? I'm sure many people would like to hear how certain creative decisons are made and what not. It could also inject some understanding as to why certain decisions are made--for good or bad.

The bottom line in Hollywood is money.

It's pretty straight forward. There are "executives" who chase money, and there are producers who promise them that money. If an executive gets market research that makes them think they will make more or less money by changing a project they put preasure on the producers to make changes.

And we all know just how reliable Market Research is. Look at The New Coke circa 1985. Anyone interested in the Hollywood mechanics of "Producers" should watch Tim Burton's Ed Wood... or "The Producers" play for that matter. I think producers (for the most part) are scum and have ruined many a movie.

Movies should be more about the art than about the money. It's filmmakers that know how to balance the two that are great (Spielberg is the epitamy of this). Filmmakers that just see dollar signs are the crappiest of the crap (Michael Bay, Roland Emmerich).... IMHO, for sure, but also many a Hollywood watcher's opinion too.
