That wasn't what I was talking about. If the heat interferes with their regeneration system then surely they'd be basing there's own weapons around this technology to use on eachother. Except Bumblebee merely sticks his legs back on when they're shot off (by a Decepticon), even though they don't work properly at first.

Bonecrusher basically melts under attack from human sabot rounds (assuming depleted uranium) yet Optimus sustains a "brutal" weapon based attack from two Decepticons and lives to fight the uber-powerful Megatron.

Like I said, it's just a cliched way to give humans an unrealistic "edge". Like water in SIGNS or the virus in ID4. Typical popcorn stuff.

Well, I hate to say it but given my extensive Godzilla knowledge to me it's nice to see that humans can actually do something useful in a Giant Robot movie besides shoot at the main characters with ineffectual weapons and run screaming in terror.

I just hope when Prime and Megatron fight each other, That the humans do not interfere.

I agree with Mal'Akai, xwolverine2 and others over the product placement debate. Until the Paramount Mountain transforms I won't walk out on this movie.

On a side note, the optimus flames are a good transition from red to blue. I would rather that than a solid red cab and a blue back end. Hate, hate, hate.

well judging by the script.
not only do they interfere but...
spike is the one that kills megatron! yep. spike is the hero of the film. not optimus.

Well considering that this was an early draft, Perhaps they changed that completely as well.

spike kill megatron
?

i don't like that.

By
ramming this fabled Energon Cube into his chest.

Now, I wouldn't have any idea how that is supposed to work on a Transformer, but since those movie thingies have holes all over....

Edit: I should also point out that
Prime is yelling at Spike to do that, while Megatron just stands around like an idiot and doesn't do a thing to stop him
.

Don't read this spolior(spelling)

He hits him with the energon cube or something if I remember right.

Yeah he hits him with the cube...the thing that creates transformers

and kills him

....so does anyone understand that? Megatron was holding the ****ing thing like a page before.

also

how the **** did Spike hit megatron with it in the spark?

did he grow a few feet?

I thought this was after he fell off the dam and optimus caught him on his chest and they fell all the way down?

...don't get me started on how Spike survived that:o

Maybe that's supposed to tie in with some "cuddle me Prime" plush toy...

The whole idea of Spike being the one that beats Megatron is kind of a slap in the face to the G1 fans. We are supposed to see some epic battle between Optimus Prime and Megatron.

Guess I have to ask again. Would someone be so kind to PM me the draft?

Considering that this was an early draft, I'm sure that scene got changed, If you think about it, Often times movie have deleted scenes or alternate endings. And one way they can determind that is through some test screenings.

the fact that megatron is almost completely non extistent in the script until the end of the third act makes the an epic battle kinda pointless anyway.

Megatron: *shows up*

Megatron: *talks*

Megatron: *fights a little*

Megatron: *dies at the hands of a tween*

or

Decepticons: *show up*

Decepticons: *die*

The way i read it, is that Megatron is directly over Spike. I guess he's low enough for Spike to touch.

This is how it's been in the cartoon also. I don't think it's a slap in the face to G1. In the cartoon Spike and/or Bumblebee were always the ones to foil Megatrons plans (which i hated). I think it's playing to the whole 'the underdog can win' scenerio.

btw: Megatron is indestructible.

Not only that, There setting it up for sequels, So they can't just kill Megatron, Purhaps what they did stopped him for the time being. Then he makes a big comeback in the 2nd film. Lets put it this way, In the 3 part first episodes of the original series, They thought they defeated Megatron for good when the ship crashed into the ocean, Then at the end, We all seen him getting out of the ship.
