The way i read it, is that Megatron is directly over Spike. I guess he's low enough for Spike to touch.

This is how it's been in the cartoon also. I don't think it's a slap in the face to G1. In the cartoon Spike and/or Bumblebee were always the ones to foil Megatrons plans (which i hated). I think it's playing to the whole 'the underdog can win' scenerio.

btw: Megatron is indestructible.

But in regards to spike defeating Megatron(besides the way it's done making no sense). The only reason Spike is because they made the movie a Spike story. I'd rather have Bumblebee defeat Megatron. I mean they keep screaming of realism but have a teenager kill one of the biggest and most powerful beings in the universe while megatron sits and lets it happen.

Now that you mention it, he does look like a Power Ranger villain. That's just funny.

Seems like everyone's got their breaking point when it comes to this movie (well, almost everyone). You found yours. Mine was Hot-rodbee (talk about unfaithful!).

Alas. As some here like to point out... Transformers was lame to begin with. Bay is making it perfect.

Hey folks, I wanted to start a new thread but I am unable to. Forgive my ignorance for not knowing how things work around here as I am new to this site. I wanted to get a thread going for those of us who have read the script to point out the holes in the story and then use our collective imaginations to try and fill the gaps and make sense of it. I know this is a "first draft" but this is meant as a playful exercise and not to be taken to the hard core level. If you have more "holes" in the story please throw them in here so that we may all have a crack at making sense of them. And before anyone calls me a troll or hater, let me just say I like the way this movie is going and the designs of the characters...both human and robot. Ok, heres my questions...

1) Why does Brawl, BlackOut and Bumblebee use the same moustache looking hologram guy? If they "scan" vehicles to blend in, it stands to reason that they also "scanned" a human to get that look from, right? Why would Bumblebee be using the same hologram character as the Decepitcons?

2) If Soundwave (as he's called in the script) downloaded the Iceman files from Air Force One, why do they (him and Brawl) go after Sam (Spike)? Wouldn't they know where the "Ice Man" is located without needing the goggles/glasses?

3) Where are the other Autobots hanging out at while Bumblebee does his recon mission for the first act that they can get to Earth in one day's time? Are they chillin on the moon waiting? Where are they?

4) Why is Megatron defeated when Sam smashes the Energon Cube into his chest? I simply don't get this. Doesn't it give "spark" to robotic devices?

Please feel free to add to this list if you wish. Remember, I'm not trying to tear this movie down, I think it's going in a great direction...but even though it's a Tranformers movie (implies suspension of disbelief), it should still be a cohesive story. Have fun with it...and keep it light hearted and logical please...I'm not trying to start any mad arguments. Thanks for your time everyone

to make it hard to distinguish who is good and who is evil, adding to the tension and mystery. is bumblebee there to hurt spike, or protect him?

dunno, hope they elaborate more on this, or just change it altogether. i'd rather optimus defeat him.

anyways, i think they need to get rid of the cliche scene at the end where mikeala ignores trent and instead kisses spike. I mean, what happened to bumblebee? they should have shown mikeala getting into spike's car instead of trent's, and trent's friends saying how cool spike's new camaro is. that way we see that bumblebee is alright.

Seemingly it's just a default hologram. It's not a really a hole.

2) If Soundwave (as he's called in the script) downloaded the Iceman files from Air Force One, why do they (him and Brawl) go after Sam (Spike)? Wouldn't they know where the "Ice Man" is located without needing the goggles/glasses?

The glasses told of where the energon cube was, the iceman files told of where megatron was, they didn't know it was in the same spot.

I don't know. It's just something you don't think about. Not everything can be spoon fed. They're just around,, in hiding like the other bots around the universe.

We already covered that how megatron is defeated makes zero sense. Go back a page. There's alot of four letter words.

Ironhide and Jazz were interchangable

But yeah Ratchet did nothing for the entire battle, beside him being useless because of TF's being able to heal themselves in the movieverse...yet bumblebee can't talk

Actually, I find the "mustache-man" to be pretty unlogical. What are the chances that the Autobots and the Decepticons are going to end up with the same human decoy ? Did they go "Timeout ! Let's exchange some notes and ressources, THEN we continue the war, 'kay ?". It just doesn't make sense.

In the process of reading the script and I have to be honest it is a lot better than I expected. Still not comfortable with Megatron transforming into a Cybertronian jet however I'm sure I will get used to the idea.

I do like the idea of the Decepticons comunicating in Cybertronian rather than English. Why would they care if we understand them?

Lets just say I am more optimistic about this film than I was when I first heard about it.
