Not bad. He was great in Kings, I miss that show. I think he'll do Bucky justice. Cast is coming together nicely, now lets get that female lead down. Speaking of cast though, someone said Hugo Weaving. Is that confirmed? I hate going by IMDB but there's still nothing on there about him being cast and SHH didn't have a nice little article on him like they did for Cap or Bucky.

You gotta wonder where they're going with the 4-5 film deal. Pretty exciting to see they're planning to make such a big universe in the movie's scope. Didn't they at one point proclaim their goal of putting out 3 movies a year? That'd be fantastic. I'm betting they're relying on The Avengers, and to a lesser extent the movies preceding it, to pull in the big bucks so they can finance things as such and get into a groove of getting these movies REALLY up and running.

It's pretty obvious they sign these guys to multi-picture deals in order to leave themselves the ability to call up a character in not just sequels, but other movie-verse additions.

saw the news on thr/variety/etc... about seabatisan stan getting the role of bucky. Now i am sure the trades wouldnt be doing bull stories on april fools. I dont really know his work. But if he got the role best of luck to him and i hope he makes a good bucky. as for how bucky will be in the film, i doubt they will do full on sidekick deal. He will probably just be a friend/ally to cap and be a solider. If he got a multi picture deal, i do hope they are planing the whole dying in ww 2 and returning in the present as winter solider. I would think that is what they would do. Why waste bucky for just WW2.

totally with the option of more films, which is a standard deal for these types of films. They will probably want to pull out the winter solider storyline. Probably have the character pop up in a small cameo within avengers where we dont know who he is. Then makes a full return in cap 2.

I think Stan is good casting and he is who I figured they would go with when it was rumored that he was a finalist for Cap. I haven't seen him in anything, but he certainly has a good look for Bucky. He is not as physically imposing as Cap, nor should he be, but he is in good enough shape to where he would be entirely believable as an assassin on the Invaders. I like the way the cast is shaping up.

I was never cfazy about the sidekick angle, not to mention all the jokes it tends to inspire, but ít is part of Cap´s history. I hope they don´t resurrect him like in comics, some characters are better left dead.

Just because he is a bit older doesn't mean they are going the Winter Soldier route straight away. He's just a older Bucky. And not even that old anyway. He could easily pass for a 20 year old.

And some characters are better left resurrected. Bucky is one of the few characters who became MORE popular after his resurrection. I can't think of many comic characters who can say the same. Most resurrection stories are just half-baked nonsense done to bring in a popular character back. Winter Soldier actually made a compelling story out of a resurrection story and made a character most Cap fans didn't care about seem totally awesome. The Winter Soldier story is part of one of the most acclaimed Captain America runs and it adds an entire new element to the Cap mythos. It would be foolish not to use it, IMO.

Besides, if he's signed up for 4 or 5 films then Winter Soldier is pretty much guaranteed at this point. And that's awesome.
