First Avenger Neal McDonough is Dum Dum

There's a chance that the present day part of the movie will be a little longer than we thought and that Dum Dum will only exist there. More likely he's the founder of SHIELD. Honestly though, I can't see a government in the 40s making a black guy a leader of a shadowy organization like that, qualified or not. There were still segregated units and if SHIELD's going to be present or founded in WW2, it'd be more realistic if Dum Dum did it.

like i said in other threads, with fury, to me i see them just having him be from present day and all that. So his part in the film will probably be just cap thawing out scene and all that. As for dum dum thats a toss maybe they only want him for a few small scenes for 40s and leave the character there like any of the invaders and peggy roles will be.

Someone was spotted at the MTV Awards last night sporting a familiar 'stache

Wow thats awesome stache he is rocking there

Im very upset that Ted LEvine wouldnt get it, but I honestly wouldnt mind Neal McDonough

Neal confirmed his casting with MTV News last night. That's why he's growing out the 'stashe

Plus, he's gonna sport the Bowler hat!

:wow:

His enthusiasm makes ME so excited. :wow:

Yeah, reminds me a bit of this

It's cool to see serious actors so excited about their supporting roles in these Marvel roles

I assumed he would only be In the present bookend scenes but the
comments makes me think Dum Dum will be seen both In the howling
Commandos and In Shield. And this also raises the possabilty of Samuel
L jackson also being In World War II Howling Commandos.

Man I'm really curious to know how they plan to tackle the past/present with respect to Fury, Dugan, and any other HC/SHIELD characters they plan to use.

Something tells me Dum Dum may be WWII-only in the filmverse...

He confirmed he Is signed up for multiple films. He will almost certainly be In present day too.

It was nice enough to hear that he was going to be in the movie...but it's great to hear how excited he is about it.

That does make sense but I would have liked to see Dugan wear a SHIELD suit while wearing his bowler. That look always got me. I also wonder if we will get a SHIELD suit anyways, BW's could have been her custom look.

McDonough says that he's a Bostonian. In fact, that's the same place that Dum Dum Dugan was actually born in the comics.

Mark me down for being overjoyed at this casting choice! :woot:
