Call Me a Negative Nancy but I still dislike it after listening to it again. However, comparing it to other Williams adaptations:
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Jurassic Park 3
Superman 2-4
I'd put it with Jurassic Park 3 and The Superman 2-4 adaptations.
Except that I actually liked the original Material from JP3 and Ken Thorne's Work on S3. Chamber of Secrets was the best I've heard ever, but it was a copy and paste Williams' Sorceror's Stone score.
To comment further on what I've heard, One of my main problems with the adaptation is that it uses (or overuses) a Chorus. Generally, I LOVE Choruses applied to Film scores, but seeing as how Williams didn't use a chorus for Superman in '78 and I felt it was a good call. (It really didn't need one IMO)
To me this is the first time I actually found a chorus disrupting the score.
