Exactly, that's what I'm saying, Spider-Man 3 makes 844M (...and counting) and more than its previous films worldwide, and some f---ing idiot like this is disturbed. A pathetic attempt to downplay Spidey's success indeed.Aloha,
A pathetic attempt to downplay one of the most successful franchises in the history of Hollywood and THE MOST Successful Comic Book franchise. Can we move on?
Spidey rules that's just the way it is
60.1 million people went to see Spider-Man 2. Take those 60.1 million, and multiply that by a ticket at todays prices, and you have $ 395.5 domestic. So dispite it's record breaking screens at the time, about 13 million less people have seen Spider-Man 3, then saw Spider-Man 2. That is disturbing. Why have 13 million less people seen Spider-Man 3 ? Right now it has 62.3 % of its WW #'s from overseas, whereas Spider-Man 1, and 2, were about 50-50. It has gained 12 % overseas, and loss 12 % domesticly.
Don't make me have to break out The Thing 2005 extra large can of WHOOP ASS. I'll chew ya up and spit ya out.

You do know the Island was basically an unauthorized remake of a little known 70's Sci Fi flick that MST3K lampooned called Parts: The Clonus Horror right? Dreamworks settled with the director and producer of Clonus in an out of court settlement.
I'm watching myself just fine. Sorry, but that in which I quoted of you, sounded like the ramblings of a nut case. Especially when you're talking about a movie that has made 844M (...and counting), and has become the biggest comic book movie of all-time.
I wish the movie made 2 billion WW. I support all Marvel movies.
t: And I pull for ALL comic movies. Even the DC ones. It's good for the comic to movie industry. You should probably read over what I said again.![]()
Heh, 318 mil domestic and 844 mil worldwide, any studio execs in the world would kill their moms, burn the bodies and pee on the ashes for a "disappointment" like that...

It's you who's out, carpy...OUT OF YOUR MIND!!!
Why do people always want what they cannot have?SM3 was always going to struggle to top SM1 domestic, however I STILL think it has a (slight) chance of topping SM2 domestic
$350 million is possible IMO though. I mean the Monwy hasen't completley stoped yet so I think it will hit $350 million. And yes after a while it will lose theatres and we all know that but for right now, it's not losing any theatres so far and thats a great thing. Spidey rules all!!!.Why do people always want what they cannot have?
It's not even gonna make 350M, too many movies, and it'll start losing 100s of theaters every week. 330-335M is a great domestic cume for a third movie in any franchise.
SM3 has already proved itself by toppling SM1 worldwide, which few people thought was possible, I know I didn't. If it doesn't make another single penny, it will have still done extremely well.
As well as the movie has done, there's no doubting its a domestic disappointment. It's saving grace has been that it's done by far the best of the three overseas.
Carpy it's a different world then even back in 2002. Faster online download speeds, piracy, shorter dvd windows, increased competition on a weekly basis even in the same genre, not to mention a tougher ecomony. Piracy though is being cracked down on bigtime. It's not going to be so easy in a few years and if you do get caught...the fines are getting really stiff.
t: Transformers # 1 domestic for the summer, and year. Don't make me laugh. I can't see any grown man, sitting thru Transformers. Bryan Singer might like it thou. Sit there with little Transformers toys, and have a ball with himself. And before anyone jumps me let me say I have NO problem with Singers lifestyle. I have a problem with the way he portaied Superman, and the costume he put him in. Superman is no character to make a statement.Even if there were other movies over 350M, it still wouldn't be a disappointment. You all seriously have to lose the "Spidey must be #1 in everything" mentality. Is SM1/SM2 a disappointment overseas because SM3 made A LOT MORE than them, no?And it's definitelly not a dissapointment domestic wise...i mean it will be the highest grossing domestic movie...how is that dissapointing? If there were others movies over 350 than it would have been a dissapointment but it will make only 30 less than SP2...and with the competion i think that evens things out
Really, there no other comic book movie that has those kind of numbers, except for Spidey's own movies. I love how you say it's overseas cume is its SAVING GRACE, so what does that make SM1/SM2's overseas cume that's more than 100M less than SM3's? I guess SM1/SM2 were disappointments too, especially sense SM3 kicked their asses worldwide. As well as the movie has done, there's no doubting its a domestic disappointment. It's saving grace has been that it's done by far the best of the three overseas.
