The 1st shows an introduction to Mac Gargan aka Scorpion in jail. Wont go into more detail on that since it may spoil part of the movie for ya. The 2nd is a jokey scene showing Captain America doing another PSA video.
There's only two post credit scenes, one for gags (the second one) and one for future usage.
The first scene shows Toomes being walked to his prison cell. He's approached by a guy with medical pins in his right arm, a scar on his face, and a scorpion tattoo on his neck. He asks Toomes if he knows who Spidey is, because he has some friends on the outside that want him dead. Toomes takes a moment and tells Mac that if he knew who he was, he would've killed him already. Its assumed he saved Spidey's identity because he saved his daughter and saved his life so his daughter wouldn't go without a father.
The second is a joke scene. It's a white screen and Cap walks up and faces us. This is him filming a PSA. He tells us the importance of having patience, and it can be important when you're waiting for something you think will be important, but is ultimately a waste of your time (poking fun at us for sitting in the theater, waiting for some big reveal when it's just a joke). He then looks off camera and asks how many more of these he has to do.
This all came from reddit but they are 100% legit.
No punches thrown. Bothered me a bit at first, but I was too caught up to really care. His first scene with the web combinations are hilarious, and you get to see how he tests them out before taking on the bad guys.
The fights are less about brawn and more about Peter being clever enough to outsmart his opponents. Most of it is pretty defensive, and his action sequences up until the plane fight are about protecting civilians.
Even then, the Vulture fight ends up being pretty one-sided, which is believable because he's just a kid.
Tom Holland is really likable. He really sold the character and the moments are on point. The audience was laughing a lot because almost every joke was on point. However, his quips aren't exactly memorable. Most of the humor comes from the situations he gets himself into.
There's a great part where Peter talks to the owner of a sandwich shop. The owner makes a comment in Spanish about how hot Aunt May is, and Peter replies in Spanish, "How's your daughter?"
He is a wimpy loser. He's played for comedic relief a lot of the time, and he ends up being the butt of quite a few jokes involving his desperation to beat Peter. He's not the jock who beats up people anymore. More of a modern bully who passive aggressively brings people down.
But he's also more popular. Peter constantly disappears to handle his Spidey duties, which damages his friendships with the Decathlon members. Flash takes advantage of this at Liz's party and gets everyone to chant P**** Parker.

I'd wait until the movie before you decide. Flash was honestly one of the best parts of the movie for me. Stood out more than he did in previous installments simply because he was funnier.
Here's the big one... What can you say about Michelle?
Do we get any clues on what her surname is? Any potential room for future films to say her full name is "Michelle Mary Jane Watson?" Any sort of resemblances to MJ as we know her in the 616 or Ultimate comics?
I know she bears a large resemblance to Allison from Breakfast Club in this film, so I'm guessing this means they're setting her up for some sort of arc moving forward?
Coney Island. Peter ruins his entire plan with his brains. He's in a daze after the crash while Vulture is relatively unscathed. So it makes sense,
kind of like the Goblin vs Spidey fight at the end of the Raimi film.

No, there's absolutely no indication. In fact, I don't even remember them saying her name was Michelle until the very end of the movie. Not remotely close to the comics, but she is clever and funny, very likable in her own way. There's a scene where she's in detention that got big laughs. She's sly and sardonic, but I do wish that just went all out and called her Mary Jane because her name is not even revealed until the end. At least then it would be full on confirmation.
She's always glancing at Peter though. Only one who pays attention to the fact he quit marching band. She's definitely the end game romance for him.

He's funnier? I think that's going to be a trend with this movie. Seems like this movie missed the point of Flash-Peter relationship. Not even talking about the physical bullying
He's not really an offensive fighter in this, so you might be disappointed to see that. Most of his offensive action involves how he manipulates webbing. There are kicks, but no throws.
It wasn't too problematic for me simply because he's a kid eager to do the right thing, and if he believes that means fighting the way he does, then so be it. Hopefully he starts throwing more punches, though.
Spidey has always thrown punches. The point is that he pulls them so he doesn't knock somebody's head off. Did the makers forget about this? The "he's just a kid!" thing has weared out it's welcome.

Huh. If her name is only ever revealed at the end of the movie, it sounds to me like they literally only went with calling her "Michelle" so that they could give audiences a name other than "Mary Jane" to hear in all of the press hype. Very odd to me. But I do like that there's enough room for them to potentially retcon the proper name back into her character moving forward.
As for her actual characterization itself, I'm sure that's going to drive a good number of folks bananas here. Like I said in another thread though, the thing that always stood out most to me about MJ in the comics was her wit and sass. So it's nice to hear that's there in this take too and I'm glad that her characterization works for what it is, even if it bears little resemblance to what we're usually familiar with for MJ.
Not at all surprised to hear that she's the endgame romance for him. I think literally everyone's been anticipating that to be the case ever since she was first announced to play a character in the movie last year.
I'm very interested in seeing how they decide to approach developing her character in subsequent films. Hoping we see her join Peter, Ned and Aunt May on being "in" on the Spider-Man secret in the coming films.
I really want to see elements of the Peter/MJ relationship from the Ultimate Spider-Man comics come into play, with her acting as a personal confidant for Peter.

Yep, I was really happy to see the sass. I can see her becoming the MJ we know simply because she has the unabashed confidence that Kirsten Dunst's lacked.
Also, prepare yourself for a great moment at Washington Monument where she makes a comment about the building's history.

That's so great to hear. The more I look back on those Raimi films, the more I really dislike how they went about MJ in those films. Yeah, the classic elements are all there, but it typically feels shallow as hell to me. Like you said, she lacks that sass and confidence. The spirit that makes MJ MJ.
So yeah, I'm very happy to hear that that much is at least there for Zendaya's take on the character!
How was the CG on spider-man? It kinda looked lack-luster or a bit 'off' from the trailers to me. Like he wasn't really there when he's swinging or in action
