Official Thor Casting Thread

Don't get me wrong, It's been years since I purchased one. I only take a look at them if I ever see one in the magazine rack.

An unrelated question but how is Full sail? I was thinking of taking the film program there in Orlando.

one of the best decisions i've ever made. i'm in my third month in the film program and loving everyday of it. coolest people to be around too, every day its like a living, breathing SHH forumt:

I was curious about what Full Sail was from your avvy anrrd 2. After reading your response above, I decided to check out their website. WOW! Very cool! If I wasn't such an old fart & set in my career choice, I would seriously consider enrolling! Not sure what field though, there are so many that I find interesting. Good luck with your endeavors!

i heard about that film school, i would have loved to gone to it. But it was far to expensive for me .

thanks very much Triad this school has been a blessing for me. i was a mediocre student in highschool and a complete failure at my first attempt at college. i dropped out and started working 2 jobs (UPS and YMCA) i dont regret working because it taught me how lucky i am to get this second chance and i'm not screwing up again with any luck, one day you will all be on the hype discussing on of MY movies.

and ya, webhead, its UBER expensive. had to take out a HUGE loan with a co-signer to come here. so my options are either be successful or be in debt forever lol

Yeah as for the loan thing, I am seriously considering it. I have zero credit good or bad. Always pay with cash and have never financed anything. But I heard that most graduates pay back their loan within a couple years. I am always getting calls to tour the campus and everything.

plus, they show you a video of all of the projects their graduates have worked on... from sound editing on TDK to graphic design for Call of Duty... it was breath taking.

if I lived in Kissimmee still i would in a heartbeat. I may yet, just need to schedule a trip around it. I live in North Florida now.


It would be a total bummer if she is out of the script. Her and Loki's scheming was some of my favorite scenes.

Enchantress was not in the first draft of the script. Neither was Jane Foster, though.

The major females in the first draft were Sif as Thor's love interest, Frigga as Thor/Loki's mother, and Karnilla in what was an Enchantress-ish role (ie she schemed with Loki)

Yeah you are right, it was Karnilla. Either way that role either Karnilla or Enchantress should remain in the film. Their scheming was good stuff.

That's actually as much a Karnilla-ish role as an Enchantress-ish one.

yea i ended up just going to a state college in my home state here in ny. For their media production program. It was good i exceled in my production classes. Finished college a few months back. Right now just trying to get a regular job, while looking for career stuff were ever i can find it.

cool deal. I am 22 so I feel like I am a bit behind. Have doen a couple semesters of junior college. Once I get enrolled in film school I am going to have a huge sigh of relief.


It's been a year or so since I read the script. I just remember Loki scheming with a chick. It was interesting and had a MacBeth quality to it.

So that Movie Scoop has now reported that Stuart Townsend will play Fandral and that Ray Stevenson will play Volstagg. Not sure reliable they are but both would be very interesting choices

Although I love Blessed Volstagg is an older character, he just seems too darn old for the role.
